Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is seriously considering parting with Adam Johnson before the start of the season. The former Middlesbrough winger faces being squeezed out at City as they pursue Mancini favourite Alessio Cerci, the Fiorentina winger. The Telegraph says City chiefs have yet to decide whether to sell, or possibly loan, Johnson, who appears to have fallen out of favour with manager Mancini. Chelsea made an inquiry over Johnson’s availability earlier this summer but that interest has been put on hold as new manager Andre Villas-Boas assesses his options, especially as he has little room for manoeuvre in his squad without moving on some senior players.
Where else can he go? Because if he moves to a club outside the top 4,it would hurt his chances for England.
Although it is a major long shot (And I mean, a major long shot) I would love SAFC to sign him, he's from up here so that helps our chances if we were to be given permission to talk to him Although I would argue he is worth more than N'zogbia as he is English and also younger and in my opinion a better player
mccabe93 I very much doubt that MJ will be going anywhere this transfer window. If Steve Bruce continues to buy or get players on loan, your club could end up in a lot of trouble. If I am right he has now bought at least 7 if not more players that is virtually a brand new team which will not have time to get to know 1 another. I forsee another season of struggle to avoid relegation coming up.
Man City would not sell to us and anyway, I don't really think he would add enough to warrant the money he would cost. He is a fine player but if we are going to buy another attacker he needs to be in the bracket above where Johnson currently is i.e Pastore / Neymar etc.
RM has said that he has no intention of selling A. Johnson, but SWP might be up for sale if the transfer fee is the right amount that the board see fit.
Man City only want players who cost 20+ million and have fancy foreign names, that's why they loaned out Bellamy at the start of last season, despite the fact Bellamy was there best player the year before last
Just to point out how ridiculous your post is he has just bought two left backs for a total of £13m. 1/10 must try harder.
King Shergar, That is a very libelous statement that you have posted. The following players all cost well under the £20m that you have stated. A. Johnson, G. Clichy, S. Savic, J. Hart., + a few more. All these players cost well under that total. So before posting check your facts you wum.
The players you guys mention that are under 20 million are defenders and the goalkeeper, the most expensive players are always forwards and skillful midfielders. Man City's owners want high profile expensive players, they don't want boring British players like Craig Bellamy and Adam Johnson in attacking positions. If I'm so wrong then why did you loan Bellamy to Cardiff after he was arguably your best player the year before? It's the same with Adam Jhonson, He's played realy well for you guys, yet he's being discriminated against because he didn't come from a big club for large sums of money.
