There's probably already a thread about M'Vila ...

..... but I'm knackered and too tired to look.

Just been told, by a mate in France, that L'Equipe are claiming M'Vila has agreed a 4 year deal and that his club are keen to get his wages off their books.
That would be a boost before the first game but I wouldn't expect him to play.

I think Kone will go to Everton, for a big fee, and expect we'll sign another central defender.

If we sell players like Kone we will really struggle. We are really short of players now FFS. I am sick of this ongoing saga, I wish that fat git Everton manager would eff off. Last year, he talked that Celtic lad out of signing for us. Why does he not sign him from Southhampton

Or possibly we may be going 3 at the back Kone, Kaboul and Papy with 2 wing backs PVA and another on right ?

It would be difficult to resist a fee approaching £20 million tbh

Do I have to be the one to say it?

Kone is a beast, and a very strong defender. He's great in the air also. He has faults though, he is susceptible to being caught in possession when he steams forward with the ball. He can look clumsy when he gets the ball between his feet and can be pretty easily turned by a quick nippy forward.

He wouldn't look comfortable playing for a top 6 side, I don't think. Anything close to 20m and it would be a sale for me.

It would cost 20m to buy a replacement as good as Kone. Should tell Everton to **** off.

Kone didnt look like his head was elsewhere when we played Dortmund, and Moyes wouldnt play a player on his way out. That's my optimistic point of view anyway

Dont agree mate, think he is very quick for a big lad. I reckon your seeing faults where there arent any so you dont so bad if he does leave ;)
Seriously though, I know he isnt perfect but he has only played 6 months in the premier league. He will only get better this season, and if Stones is worth 30m then Kone wont be far off that.

I would think it would be easy if the player still wanted to be with us. If his head wants to be at Everton then think about it. Who could we attract that would be as good surely that's the question is ask the board.

Stones is going for 30m/40m/50m whatever it is, because he's at Everton moving to Man City. Everybody is living in cloud cuckoo land if they think values and fees are worked out by comparisons like you are all trying to make.

I'm just keeping it real, lads.

How do you work that out?

We got somebody of Kone's quality for 5 million. He's called Lamine Kone <ok>

Maybe Ronald Koeman will go for Virgil Van Dyke, managers do like to return to their old clubs for players if they get the chance.

So if we are keeping it real have Everton actually made a bid? And if so how do you know? :emoticon-0148-yes:
