I wouldn't bet against it- part of the negotiation in getting some of these players to come to us in the first place would be to set release clauses there weren't overly prohibitive. More interesting would be whether Hernandez would jump ship and tie himself down to at least another season in the Championship- no matter how bad we are, he can get himself a more lucrative and attractive deal next summer, assuming he does ok.
That should tie in nicely for when Monk gets the elbow at weeds, about the same time, for him to take up the vacancy.
Not that I would particularly want Monk. I'm not sure I could cope with his (a word from the past) pullovers.
