My view is that he has had a poor season and just doesn't seem a proper finisher. He seriously needs to step up in both development and maturity. He's quite young and has time. I hope Rafa gives him another chance.
We need a target man if Mitrovic goes. We can't just go after another small pacey striker. We need a presence in the box or we'll just get smashed.
Mitro wouldn't be allowed have a stick. I meant he looked a bit fat, for those who didn't get the expression. I just haven't warmed to him the same way some NUFC fans have. What he did on the last day of the season was one of the most thuggish things I've ever seen on a football pitch.
It would be crazy, we will definitely need him this year. Could be really useful in this division and may bring him on a bundle.
He should be given a chance, why write him off before he has even started. What I saw Friday was Gayle up against a 6ft 6 defender with no chance of wining anything. I think fans fail to take into account that when Mitro plays, the ball sticks. Friday we couldnt hold possession in their half for longer then a few mins at a time. Mitro will get the ball down on his chest, dragging out defenders, play it back and that then opens up space for a player to run beyond. His finishing is questionable, but from what I've seen of all of our strikers, its no worse than any of them. Ritchie and rolando are begging for a player like mitro to hit when they cross it. Anita is not a winger, i think we need another winger. Perez for me is a number 10 so it leaves us limited in terms of wingers, sissoko to go, but we defo need more attacking threat!
It's massively irritating that his suspension means we can't see him play before the window shuts. If we knew that he would still be finding his feet against Champ opposition we'd go out and get the striker we need to replace him. If we knew he would be bullying Champ defences and making the room for Perez/Gayle to get in behind and score, we would get someone in a similar mould as cover for inevitable suspensions. As it is, Mitro is still an unknown quantity at this level and will remain so until it's too late to do anything about it.
