Cheers Fran! Know exactly what you mean by the reason to get up! Apologies for blaming all women and slating them in my post... just in bad place like I said, I'm sure you understand!
Been watching all these films and something has definitely been missing. It just hasn't been like it should. The one experience has been that it doesn't feel like the cinema. I've got the huge screen and the great audio, so that's covered. I can do without the itchy seats [a bygone era of short trousers, gladly over]; the tall, moving headed, people, and the entwined couples, spoiling the view; the popcorn eaters and the sweet unwrappers, plus the straw suckers to the very end [I accidentally did that bit too, sorry]. And who would miss the whisperers and talkers.? My brother was the worst. Here's a good bit coming up soon, he would say, as he'd seen the film earlier in the week. Well I miss none of that. Strangely, I kind of miss this stuff: I could have chosen many different variations on Pearl & Dean or from any other advertising agency, but this appalling bunch of adverts actually take me back to yesteryear. Funnily enough, I used to think them appalling at the time [save for the various Benson & Hedges adverts which were quite slick], but nowadays they're all rather quaint.
Don't start me ............... I could fill a book with stories of inconsideration, vindictiveness and the ability to live off some poor sod's generosity for years before taking him to the cleaners ............ I feel for you - as for me, it would have been cheaper to have hired a hooker for the last 8 years of my life ..................
http://news.sky.com/story/birthday-cake-may-have-triggered-fatal-bar-fire-10524787 Tragic fire in France with 13 dead after a cake with candles was dropped on a staircase and set soundproofing alight in a basement.
Off on holiday to Turkey this avo, be back in a couple of weeks so no need to send out a search party if I'm absent from here for a while. Will have WiFi but am going to try not being constantly connected for a change...doubt it'll last long but starting out with good intentions
Pride here in Brighton today - just nipped down to see the parade in glorious weather. Great fun, but so sad to see the concrete barriers around the roads. Sign of the times.
Olloclip fish eye lens. My step brother-in-law invented Olloclip, so I get lots of freebies (whilst also having to put up with how American he is).
But only if the average person isn't sufficiently interested to find out why they are going to the amount of trouble that they do. Amongst a few other things, they are trying to get black and ethnic people treated the same way by the US Police that whites are treated. The various USA law enforcement authorities have a real problem. It's not just the occasional error that they make. It's an ingrained attitude.
Love the Pearl & Dean music - I didn't go to the cinema often as a child so it was always a special treat and I can still feel the excitement of the place going dark and the music starting
