Looking forward to this one, I guess the strongest test yet, if we can come out with a win or at least a draw then I will be very happy.

Surprised you weren't aware of that Dennis. It was a real blow for Italy as virtually every player killed was in the National side. That Torino team was rated the best there had been at the time.
First made aware of it by my dad when the Munich crash being discussed some years after it and he told me about the Torino one. Maybe why Torino is in the hearts of the residents of Turin in a way Juventus aren't.

When I read it I has a vague recall of another football crash, but wouldn't have remembered it was Torino

I was following Italian football for a bit when I had BT Sport and read about that crash, terrible, seem to remember it involved a monastery or something too without reading back up on it. Another meaningless friendly then, fingers crossed nobody gets injured

Not a lot of people know about the Superga disaster. At the time Torino were the dominant force in Italian football, with all 10 of their outfield players represenimg Italy. Think of that? Mental. I think - without checking - they had just won 5 Serir A titles on the trot. And then on one tragic occasion the entire team was killed.

I know it's not a competition but it had a far greater impact than the Munich air disaster.

 

Barring any more injuries is that our team for Leicester?
