    I dont think we heavily invested to get out of the championship either, just a few shrewd acquisitions. I cant recall City bringing through youth players either, or selling them on. We've spent more than some uninformed pundits think though.

    Going from memory I think the big signing was Cork - Fox, Hooiveld and De Ridder came in. We spent pretty big in getting in Sharpe to get us over the line in January, but considering we sold Chamberlain that summer we probably made a profit in the championship season

    Correct! We spent £4.77m on new signings in 11/12, received £12.19m in transfer fees (Ox + Golbern + loan fee for Puncheon)
