Rafa in the post match interview looked like a man thinking "What have I done" so they may not need to push him
Why do they feel the need to strip of & show their fat, ugly bodies? I see Billy Connoley is there too - Second row up third from the right.
Never heard that before but sounds good to me - I think the shipbuilding rivalry would have prevented any cooperation with the dark side - a dancing skunk
Regarding their match last night. I walked into the pub at half time with my wife. Full of town fans. Twas quite noisy so I shouted to her within earshot of many of them 'Awww man! If I knew the match was on I wouldn't have come here.......I didn't think the season started till next week anyway!' It was a genuine comment, I wasn't meant to be taking the piss at all! I got a few angry looking glances so I only asked for a half! Anyway, I saw that Steve McClaren was one of the pundits at half time! Couldn't believe it, the man largely responsible for their plight telling their supporters whats what! Couldn't hear what he was saying but that doesn't matter. The man has no shame!
What a load of rubbish is spoken on here about the word Mackem. Believe me it is a derogatory term coined in the shipyards on the Tyne taking the piss out of the way we speak. I served my apprenticeship on the Tyne starting in 1965 and being from Sunderland I was called a makemantakem. It has nothing to do with building ships here and taking them to somewhere else, why would they do that when we had a perfectly good fitting out quay here .
I think we have established that regardless of how it started most of us have adopted the term and are quite happy to use it. Geordie also began as a derogatory term so things even out.
Aaaaah.......Championship Manager. I spent entire days playing this on the Amiga. Had it on copy but it used to get corrupted every few months so I had it copied about a dozen times.
