With just over one week to go, our starting XI against Man City will be looking something close to this at the moment.

    --------------- Mannone -------------

    Jones -- Kaboul -- Kone -- PVA

    ------ Cattermole - Larsson ------

    Watmore --- Rodwell --- Khazri

    ----------------- Borini ----------------

Hopefully, our injuries have cleared up and my selections are actually miles out due to us suddenly having a major influx of signings!!!!!!!!!

Won't be having Buckley in there either as he is possibly going on loan to Sheffield Wed

I can't see you signing nobody before then but whether they'll be fit enough/ready to start your first game is a different matter.

I think it'll be damage limitation anyway no matter who you sign. I fear Pep will fire them up for a great start to the season.

Yedlin is "plug and play." Spent most of the summer on the pitch.

    A 10-0-0 formation required.
Have we got 10 defenders though.

    I suppose he'll have to.

I've not been impressed with him, I think he's been ****e during pre-season, just like he was last season. Apparently he looks fit as **** though, and his body is in great shape, so we should keep hold of him <ok>

Wonder how far off a starting spot Pickford is.

Watmore starting doesn't fill me with confidence at all. Think he's a slow burner in terms of development to a premier league player and should be coming off the bench.

Should have kept Fletcher until we signed another striker, which should have been Sakho. Watmore is doing ok but cannot score. So what the hell is going on at our club ?. They are haggling over a player who is worth £9m but Moyes won't pay more than £5m. The benteke and Felini talk was eye wash, must have been circulated by Short to keep us happy hehe.

Further away than the end of last season. Mannone has had a really good pre-season and at times, Pickford looked a little raw.

Not a bad thing at all. Maybe having Pickford back has pushed Vito even more.

Hasn't he been linked to Napoli (or another Italian club) this window?

Still have some doubts about Vito but don't mind Pickford waiting in the wings as 'keepers tend to mature later anyway.

And they tend to last longer. <ok>

Just signed a 4 year contract so not in any mad rush. Seems like a sensible lad.

Aye, local lad and supporter as well.

I do genuinely think he'll play for England one day, but lets just let him carry on learning and developing with us.

I agree. Could do really well provided he takes his time and learns his trade.

Patience is the key for him atm. A couple of years and I reckon he might well be in demand. We need to hang on to him. Wouldn`t like to see his head turned.
