New Formula 1 Banner - Entry Stage

I put the pics here for examples. They were not actually the real size I am not that stupid like you think I am. You really think I am that stupid I wouldn't know how big it would be?? My pics were here for people to expand on and edit if they liked it!

Perhaps Genji's point was that it would be easier to give an understanding of the finished result if the picture was already edited into the correct format?

However, I must say that I think this 'debate' has run its course. It is such an easy thing to change that it could be done very regularly and any unpopular banner could be quickly removed (if only to go back to the previous one).

Let's just change it NOW ! - It is long overdue…

 

The thing is, I don't think it even looks that much like Alonso, it could be any driver

 

I've started to resive some images just so you know what they'll look like once cropped.

I think the Schumi one's best

 

Suzuka 2010 looks the best IMO

 

The Schumi one is the better, people that don't like him may see the image as one of his mistakes on the track and will enjoy it, people that like him may see this image as a representation of the sport that is Formula 1..

Well, I like them the absolute least!

It is vital that banners do not appear to show significant favouritism, unless the banners are changed on an almost daily basis, which is clearly not going to happen here if we have such a protracted debate about each one. Even those who are difficult to see, such as the one you mention (jerseymackem) about Alonso: very few people in an F1 forum would not know who it is.

 

Any more images people want to submit before I open the voting thread next week.

At the moment I'm aiming to start the voting at 6pm on Monday and run it until Friday at 6pm.

When they're on the forum they're about 1900x375px so as long as they can be scaled up to that ok its all good.

2011 images look more suitable, as we are trying to update the forum look but your choice is good to look at
