A better striker than someone who scored 1 goal in the PL last season?

Vargas is a striker I've mentioned numerous times who'd be pretty cheap.

Uh, did you miss the fact we all pointed out if Jones played for us his stats would be even better?

I'd take Jones in a heartbeat. You just made the point about Balotelli playing for top clubs and rightly so, but then Phil Jones has made over 100 appearances for Man U and played 20 times for England and yet he's a headless chicken not good enough for us? Consistency old friend!

Phil Jones would be a great addition to the squad. I can't see it happening, but would definitely have him in our back 3/4.
 
Going to watch the Spurs friendly on ITV4, see if they've got any 2nd string players in need of a loan move...

I think everybody has had enough, add to that the unrealistic expectations of some of our fans (Balotelli not good enough for us). I almost wish we could fast forward to next season in the Championship when people would be crying out for a player like that, as if we aren't already. Go talk to Huddlestone or somebody like that and I'd bet they would love to play with an intelligent technically excellent player like him
