I have no reason to decry Shaks's or his support, yours is fairly impressive too.
Old boys getting discounted season tickets but could afford to pay the full price (I don't know)
I still admire the lunatics that are going home and away.

I also admire those that spend tens of thousands on boxes and then choose invite guests.
These guest tickets whilst not paid for by the end user generate more income per person than the season tickets holders and pay as you go punters. Its a bit like how business class air travel subsidises those in coach class.

On the plus side, with the signing of Pablo I think we have quite a good starting 11....albeit we need a new CB. If we get off to a good start then who knows.

But if we somehow achieve anything of note this season it is in spite of Massimo, not because of him.

Funny how those who admire Cellino most are the ones in that situation.

having a debating board means having a debate with diff points of view, thats the first thing. I have to say that there are times when I find it gets boring as many on here have a 2 or 3 way conversation and the original post is lost as you scroll through 2 pages of banter about ugly birds or something. So what started out as a good post just dies. Thats the opposite of Eire's post but I agree with his point especially this time of the year.

We all look forward to kick off and this season we have seen more transfer activity than in the last 20 years. We have a new manager that seems to be respected throughout football and very highly qualified and part of the 'new breed'. we have an owner that seems to be making a big effort in appeasing fans, so far. So for that I think we should all stop having a pop at the club, until we see his next move or until we see results and team are not working. Give the club a break for a bit at least.

None of us understand what Cellino has to put up with and what the underlying problems with the club are. Some say they understand but truth is none of us can. I get angry about broken promises to buy ER, about GFH still holding a quarter of the shares and have no money to invest, how do we get rid of them. So its easy for the media and fans to call the owner a bandit and criminal as he has history, but we dont know. I hate whats been happening Pearson in and out and in, and the new guy who is a PR and agent ffs. I do know Cellino has pumped in over £20m of his own money and wants to see a return on investment and cant blame him. He seems to be trying this summer.

Lets all chill until we see what goes on and also with GFH aas news will break on them bandits soon enough.

    There is so much wrong in that post its hard to know where to begin;
Lets just take 3 things for now.
We had more transfer activity two season ago.
Cellino has not 1 penny of his own money in and the family trust fund has taken out way more than has been invested.
But we do however know, he is a convicted fraudster and tax evader( even if the eyties have now decided tax evasion is a civil and not criminal matter).

I will say it again it is possible to support the club and still want Cellino gone.

I have never doubted your hopes for the club to do well. I do not think Cellino is a suitable person to run a football club. Where we differ is, and I say again, I believe he was suckered into buying the club, only to discover that the person owning E.R.,T.A, and G.F.H. has got him by the cobblers. That is the reason why no credible investor is prepared to buy only Cellino's share.

I agree, but if he was suckered that's is because he CHOSE not to do due diligence.
Sorry to say it's his fault he bought the club when it was on it's arse, and yes I would have preferred admin and a restart than this.

Apart from him not putting a penny in and the trust fund he was using without family permission taking out much more than he put in you might be right. Nice cast chesh but you forgot to bait the hook.

Most are bought by companies who use them to bribe other people to make deals and make a lot of money out of it.While the club do make good money out of it,most don't do it to benefit the club but for their own gains.Yuppies and Tories most of them and lots don't even watch much of the game.

As usual I speak for me:
If I go in a box, I watch the game, Too old to qualify as a Yuppie and you know how I feel about the Tories.
To be fair most who go in the boxes these days are watching the games in 2002 I would agree boxes were used as deal sealing social events and many never saw a game. For obvious reasons its different now.

Crosswater, Parker engineering and Clipper are not making money from their boxes I am fairly sure.

    Lets make it easy.
How much has the Trust fund paid out?
How much has been taken back out?
How much is the asset worth should it be sold?

I stand by the statement, prove it wrong.

A sports fan can be an enthusiast for a particular athlete, team, sport, or all of organized sports as a whole. Sports fans often attend sporting events or watch them on television, and follow news through newspapers and Internet websites. The mentality of the sports fan is often such that they will experience a game, or event while living vicariously through players or teams whom the fan favors[original research?]. This behavior manifests itself in a number of different ways, depending on the venue. At a stadium or arena, sports fans will voice their pleasure with a particular incident, player, or team by cheering, which consists of clapping, fist-pumping, or shouting positive exclamations toward the field of play and ultimately, the favorable object. Likewise, displeasure toward a particular incident, player, or team may be met by fans with booing, shouting of expletives, and sometimes throwing of objects onto the field. This violent type of fan reaction is often called hooliganism.
