My post and the 'etc' referred to all youngsters on our books and suggested that anything less than 50 starts between them would be disappointing. Your own post mentions 7 youngsters all of whom will be in the squad so I cannot see that 50 starts between them is unrealistic

 

They are in the squad now but that doesn't mean they won't be loaned out .

 

I still think that our young players will get their chance. Initially, that will be from the bench as an impact sub (as with Redmond at 19), or in case of injuries, for those like Toffolo or Thompson where back-ups seem to be thinning.

 

Redmond was a first team regular for Brum before we signed him.

 

But it took a while for him to become a starter for us. It's an uncertain business for sure, but if AN intends to build a squad for the future, this is the place to start.

 

Josh is ready and if pre season heroics count for anything Jacob too.

 

Redmond was always going to be a star. Was obvious we were signing a future Premiership player/England Player.

I've got the same excitement and buzz with Pritchard signing. I think it's another signing as big as that.

 

Are you going to buy the Pritchard shirt when the squad numbers come out ?

 

I thought of that when I came home as saw the signing confirmed. The top is stupid money already (as I said in the Kit thread) So prob won't buy the shirt right away, let alone add to it with letters and numbers.

I've never done a player's name on my shirt. Which is strange thinking back, because there are so many I would have happily stuck straight on it. Holt, Bellamy, Roberts, Eadie, Ashton, etc. I just never fancied doing the name and number thing. Not sure why.

I think if I did put a name on this season. I'd have Wes.

I'm really pissed off about this GK signing. I would have easily gone into this Championship season with Ruddy, Rudd and Keane.

It feels like we have wasted most of this window signing a 2nd and 3rd choice keeper!! Wooooooooohooooo!!! Probably the only position we never needed to concentrate on. We have now filled these pointless positions!! Thank god!

 

Ruddy & Rudd were abysmal and McGovern will be first choice .

 

In the premiership. Bot would be fine in the Championship.

McGovern would be 1st choice? In and league and country he has never played in. He was average/poor in the Scottish Prem, but yet he will be better than Ruddy and Rudd in the Championship? Probably about the same standard as the SPL. There is no way of feeling positive about that!
