Well if we can't beat the likes of WBA to the signature of a striker, then our worries will be confirmed.
I know it is only paper talk, but this looks like it will be done by tomorrow, if it is as long as he had a pre season with Sevilla, should be able to play a part on Saturday. http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/...nando-llorente-verge-joining-swansea-11705610
Good chance Llorente will be our # 1 striker , I'll be good with that myself ...I understand most thing he shouldn't be but ....way she goes
Van Der Hoorne , Fer and Llorente are all over 6' 2 ". Guidolin is keeping his promise to work on our " Set Piece " dilemma IMO , within the transfer market. Just read that Llorente is already in Wales ....maybe he's in the midst of his medical as we speak ....says he had offers from Portugal , Germany and Spain but that he thought the Premier League might suit him best at this point . Anybody been around the ground in past hour or so ?
Now as much as i am a fan of Zlatan, i'm not sure we can really go on that. His best goals per game career wise of course, but considering the best of his years were in Serie A and La Liga and then he goes onto join the french Barcelona, i'm not sure you can really say he's performing better and better. It's a bit like how Drogba is now on his best run of form in the MLS and is absolutely smashing it. As for Llorente, someone mentioned his careers taken a bit of a downturn. 2013-2014 -> 37 (14) appearances 18 goals 5 assists 2014-2015 -> 30 (11) appearances 8 goals 1 assist 2015-2016 -> 19 (19) appearances 7 goals 4 assists. Not great stats but he's a big target and helps to link up play. Always looked handy when i've seen him play in the past but at 6m or whatever the price you pay not a massive gamble although he's getting on a bit

Hate the transfer window to be honest, it just gives bigger teams more reason to stockpile players to the detriment of other clubs. It should removed completely and other things put in place
Valley I think the same can be said of a manager. I was listening to a chairman talk and he was saying once he signs a manager he has a drawer with 3 names already that he has identified should the current one fail, he has his contingency plan already set out. Jager what would you put in place.
Biggest point I was trying to make with Ibramhvic is the fact that just because your older , doesn't mean your not a good signing . As for Llorente , he had a fantastic season 2013-2014 , nothing to write home about in 2014-2015 but did ok . 2015-2016 he hardly had any minutes . I think we will see plenty of goals from Llorente and for the price we are getting him for apparently ....I'm over the moon . Nothing like a fresh start at a new club to get an old timer going . I played over 20 years of Broomball ( played on a hockey rink with shoes on sticks and a ball , full contact , fights , you name it .) Wasn't getting many minutes at the end so went to another club after playing 20 years for the one I'd been playing for . Won the scoring race and MVP ( over 200 players in the league ) my first season with my new club at the age of 39 . Old dogs sometimes just need a new enviroment to learn new tricks and ideas
Yes I would be happy, if it's what Ash wants, he's been exemplary for us over the years, hard worker, and few games dropped, I'd wish him the very best if he went.............
