Been confirmed that Thauvin has re-signed for OM on loan for the season with an option to buy for £9M.

With him shipped out formally now, will we see a new winger in?

According to the Chronicle we are looking to sign a replacement. Hopefully try again for Knockaert.

It's starting to look like we will need to pay way over the odds to get him, but if it completes a missing piece of the jigsaw then it could be money well spent.

Thauvin's a c0ck sucker just like Cabella, both of them need to man the F up. Suppossed to be professional athletes for god sake. I read that Thauvin said "Newcastle Fans Just dont understand what football is". MUGS the pair of them

Glad he's gone, he never wanted to be here. We are definitely light on the wings now though - Aarons and Ritchie, potentially with Ayoze or Janmaat as a stand-in (both of whom would be playing out of position), will be seriously limiting. We've got enough up top for the Championship, and we're looking better defensively than we have for years. If we get one player in before the window closes it has to be a winger who can start regularly (I'm betting on Aarons being out injured more often than not).

If we are assuming that Sissoko goes too (which seems bloody likely) then we will have the cash to bolster the wings (or perhaps Real Madridlings)

How's everyone forgotten about the mighty mighty Gouffran? I joke I joke, another winger is needed though but apart from that maybe a back up striker if Arma goes out on loan.

Surely Rafa can go back to Chelsea or Madrid for a loan signing. Someone mentioned Odegaard from Madrid the other day who would be a good option but between those two clubs, or even Liverpool, there must be a winger who'd be able to push for a place in a Championship team and then reinvest in a solid EPL player if we go back up.

Thank which ever lord you pray to Thauvin is gone though, another waster from the Carr shambles out the door - can only be a positive!

    Is that really true? <laugh>

I will concede he has a point though. We don't understand at all HIS understanding of what football is. Both him and Cabella have ability but they have no desire in them.

I'm sure they'll do ok for Marseille and enjoy the more serene surroundings of Ligue 1.

Hopefully we've stuck some clause in there which triggers a purchase after so many games as we did with cabella.

If we made collosal expensive **** ups 2 years in a row with Cabella and Thauvin, I think they should just go for it and splash out on Knockeart as we know he's gonna be good, rather than looking for some bargain buy.

We needed wingers last time in the champ, and we can't rely on Aarons as he's always injured. We're nearing the complete team, but winger and striker still needed.

Personally I liked the look of Knockaert when he first played for Leicester. This was almost the exact same period of time when they were finding Kante, Mahrez and Vardy, so I'll trust to Steve Walsh ahead of Graham Carr if you don't mind....

Yeah I reckon we should just stump up for Knockaert. At least you know he will do the business. Him, Aarons, Ritchie, Gouffran should be enough. I'd prefer to put the latter down and give Roberts a go. Lot of lefties of course.
