More than a rumour IMO , I hope Everton agree to it soon ....so there is enough time to raise the price again ..it's like teaching lab rats to feed themselves with Everton ..
Agree, I was always expecting another bid after us turning down 10m. So never believed he would stay.
I doubt it, unless he's had a medical away from the club, don't think he's coming to Swansea until tomorrow from what I can gather from the press reports.
Come on now Jager, practice what you preach, never believe the press, but yes I heard tomorrow. Out of curiosity, are people happy with Llorente as a signing. I think I am cautiously confident he will give us something.
I do practice what I preach, I don't fully believe anything the press says, as Dai used to say, I deal in facts. I'm indifferent to him tbh, haven't even looked at his past accomplishments as that is the past, all I'm interested in is what he can do for us, so we shall see
i think he can do a job for us. We need a solid guy up top who can hold the ball up. He was mainly out of the starting line-up due to the form of Gamerio. His age isn't ideal but we don't play with pacy strikers anyway we like to play controlled patient build up play.
Just a thought..when the papers say that a club is "thinking" of making s bid for a certain player do they consult they're resident astronomer,or is it a result of pure guess work, like the rest of us?
Sky sources understand West Brom will not go ahead with the signing of West Ham striker Diafra Sakho. It was suggested Sakho had failed a medical but we are told that is not the case. We understand Sakho would not have been fully fit for the start of the season and for that reason West Brom will not pursue the deal. A fee of around £15m had been agreed between the clubs.
Usually it's the doing of a player and his agent. Nearly all contacts have a hefty loyalty bonus and the player /agent usually losses that bonus if a transfer request gets handed in. So they use the press as an come and get me signal for other clubs to know that the player is wanting a move. Its then down to the other clubs to make an offer of they want. The clubs that are touted around as interested are usually made up to create a sense of urgency that a player may go to a rival club. That's my understanding after reading multiple articles regarding this topic.
It means the scum sucking agents speak to the vermin press and together create all kinds of crap, if we removed the influence these agents had by trying to force through transfers then things would run a lot smoother. The way to do that is to remove the % angle of a transfer, the agent for pogba to Utd is apparently getting £25m for the move, it's obscene like the cost of the player. Agent fees should be paid by the player alone, and the cost should be set at between 5%-10% maximum of the cost of the transfer, clubs should not be paying these scum anything.
I listened on the radio, I think yesterday to another agent justifying the agents possible fee in the Pogba Transfer. It was laughable.
Signing for two years I think is the right deal as at 31 he still has legs and will provide the experience we need up top. Hope we sign a younger striker like that lad from Atletico to go with him although WBA failure to sign Sakho may mean they'll be back in for him.
Lol.....when agents are mentioned you can count on Jäger , like the noon train , to have a spirited go at them ...lol
Zatan Ibrahimovic : age 34 ( be 35 in a few months ) . From 30 -34 years old at PSG , almost averaged a goal per appearence ( over a hundred Appearences ) . During these 4 years , he had his best goal per game in his career . Now I know Llerente isn't Zatan but it does beg the question about age and productivity for some players ...no two players are alike but some peak at different ages .
