Chessy v Jones in his last season for us, they both played similar minutes so good comparison.

Defence score likely also includes successful passes and pass completion where Jones is also on top. While it's clearly pretty even between the two in most stats, Chester isn't 'clearly' better than a player three years his junior.
There's an obvious flaw to this in that Jones is playing for a vastly superior team so his stats are bound to be better, I prefer Chester as a player myself

If you could put the brain of Chester into the body of Jones you would have the perfect defender. Thursday Charity Shield week and we have no manager and one signing from weeks ago for the youth team, **** me things are grim

why does playing for a better team increase your Pass Completion %, or allow you to make more interceptions. If anything, Chester would have the advantage here - more chance to make interceptions as City would have been defending more, and Utd play out from the back more, which means there is more opportunity for Jones to mis-place passes

Fancy buying Ulloa of us?

Talk that if we can shift him then we'll go for Islam Slimani.

The obvious flaw isn't so obvious: in a worse side Chester will have more chances at blocks and interceptions as the opposition will be attacking more frequently, and yet Jones was still superior in those stats.
