Agree with all you say but when i posted about Totti saying loyalty to your club is the best feeling. Posters sneered at it.

No sneering from me Chazz, ''loyalty to your club'' disappeared when the FL's maximum wage of £20 was scrapped half a century ago - there are obviously exceptions but, it's a short career, the rewards are huge, players are rarely fans of the clubs they're most noted for. I'll tell you something though Chazz - I bet no player that ever pulled on a football shirt felt as good as Deano in the moment when he ran to the City end of Wembley Stadium in '08

This ^^^^^^ however I do suspect nicky Barmby felt pretty good too. :emoticon-0105-wink:

104 appearances for Man U, 20 caps for England. What exactly don't you rate about him in terms of being a Hull City player? He might not look great playing at the highest level, but we don't play at the highest level, we're scrapping for relegation.

It doesn't matter, he'll turn us down anyway.
It may have passed you by Sterling but we ARE playing at the highest level this coming season. As for him playing 20 times for England, meh, you mean the same England that were knocked out of the Euros by Iceland, they've achieved **** all with him in the side, admittedly not all because of Phil Jones but he's been a cog in the works. I don't rate him, I think he's mediocre, and for what he would cost in fee and wages I think we could do a whole lot better. I now await the question of who I'd prefer, well you're the scout so I'll leave that to you.

We aren't playing at the highest level though, we aren't playing in the Champions League nor do we have world class players in our squad. Look at Gylfi Sigurdsson, was pants for Spurs because they're a better standard of player, same with Pienaar when he went there. Some players just aren't top players but it doesn't make them poor in general. For a club like ours, who will be scrapping for relegation, Jones would be perfect.

I'd struggle to think of a better utility player we could LOAN (That's what it's mooted as, a loan) than him.

And yeah, the same team that got knocked out by Iceland. Presumably you think Kane, Ali and Rooney wouldn't be worth it if we had the chance.

Sarcy bastard.

Nope, just Phil Jones.

Cheers.

They absolutely are, no doubt, I did say in the Premier League in my OP though pierre - and as you'll recall, it didn't go tits up big style until Blackpool were relegated.

Portsmouth would be a better example, the only club to go into administration while in the Premier League.

Completely agree LBA. Jones plays like a bull in a china shop. His footballing brain is practically non-existant. That Hodgson picked him for England's World Cup squad (over Davies) says more about Hodgsons total cluelessness on player evaluation, notably CHs, than Jones abilities. At least Man U. have recognised his mediocrity over the past two seasons and want rid. Van Gaal had no time for him and theres no way Mourinho will use him. Hope we stay well away from this one...never mind the wages....he's just second rate!!

I agree with all the above
However what really rankles is all the bile they spout when it suits about being supportive of the club etc etc.
They are all after the money wherever it comes from.
Was surprised ,as was Bruce, that he didn't leave in either of the two previous transfer windows
Most people would change jobs for 50% more pay

I would like to know your ideas of who's better than him that we could possibly get

We don't run our own website, it takes ages to get stuff amended on there, but we do run our own social media, so we've no excuse.
Steve Bruce got taken off the website pretty quick.
When it comes to graphics they may need an external graphic designer to knock something up and with the Allam's on holiday I bet it's party time at the KCom.
