Was thinking we are now very light on chants on songs... No more... Steeeeve Bruce No more ... Diame, Diame, Diame.. No more ... Steve Bruce had a dream ... (we'd have had to change that anyway) Cant use currently ... Alan McGregor, drinks horlicks all night... Cant use.... he's magic for Moses...
How about a round of "it only works if you're Iceland" for when Leicester inevitably copy the Icelandic clapping chant.
I'm looking forward to the weak "City of Culture" reply to our "Champions of England, we know what we are".
I just posted this on the HCST thread... Take shoes off... hold them sole side facing the cameras and sing These soles are for you.. These soles are for you Assam and Ehab Arse holes yes thats you... !!!!!
I did see a really good chant that required two blocks, one block would shout "Tigers" (although the original was something in Serbian) and the other block "who" (or the Serbian equivalent? It basically goes back and forth for about 10 minutes. I really like it, but organising chants that work is like pulling teeth.
We aren't worried about relegation, we're going down. No bones about it. The one positive is that other fans can't really use it as a stick to beat us. "Going down going down going down" "Yeah, we know." "Oh. Crap." *sits back down*
I remember when we played Leeds when we were last in the Premier League. They went 2-0 up and sang "Going down, going down, going down" and we replied with "So are we, so are we, so are we". http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/3572359.stm
There should be only 2 chants. City til i die, and Allams out. edit, in all seriousness though, there is a real opportunity for some gallows humour this season from the stands which can be enjoyable in a strange way. Seem to remember the delights of a match back in the 90s away to Rotherham i think, when we were 5 1 down and singing 4 more we only need 4 more, and the excitement increasing as we pulled it back to 3 more, 2 more and finally 1 more. Still lost like, but it was fun while it lasted
I liked it when Chelsea were winning at Elland Road the season they got relegated and the Chelsea fans were singing "We were here when you were good".
