It's much the same over there, really, but contrary to what KIO says there's a reasonable mixture of desperation and calm. Let's wait and see what transpires over the next few days (and the next four weeks come to that).

I just had a cheeky peek at the Villa forum to see how much interest or apathy there was on the McCormack rumours. Last entry on any thread was on June 20th <yikes>

He's even older than Wes' 34 years at 36. Just what we need!

A standard £8.5m starting bid for the Highland hot shot may get the ball rolling.

I have no gripes about losing out on McCormack if Fulham really were looking at circa 15m. I'm pleased that NCFC would stick to their guns and not be rail-roaded into paying way over the odds for an older striker. Of course my concern now though is who were our back up / alternative targets?

Right now I imagine our team of international scouts are scouring the length and breadth of Scotland for another option.

Oh right best check on transfer market.Com then allow for the fee to be either 323% less of 8/15ths more divide it by 6 then times it by your own age in dog years .

I'm genuinely worried about this season at the moment. I really don't think the squad we have is good enough for top 6. Especially if we then go on to lose Brady, Olsson, Vladis and/or Mulumbu. The way the sides who came down with us are recruiting, the way other solid good Championship clubs have improved, and the way Wolves et al have new investment. While we continue to just try and make profit for another window.

What we need is a rousing poem about Naismith and his hat trick against Chelsea , incidentally that was the last game that he scored in that his side won.<laugh>

Apologies if it's been posted before, but don't have time to read through all the posts - http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwic..._league_move_amid_west_ham_interest_1_4641301

AN HAS to take the gamble and play the likes of the Murphys, Toffolo, Maddison and Godfrey from time to time, but probably not all at the same time.

Edit - On the Pritchard move to Brighton. OK, those of us who live in Norwich/Norfolk love living here, but if you’ve spent several years living in London and you then have a choice of Brighton or Norwich, which would you choose and more importantly, which would your wag/partner etc choose???

I have lived in Brighton it is a lovely place but if potential players put nightlife and good fish and chips before their careers then I despair .
No offence to Norwich chip shops btw but I don't know any good ones , Bankers in Hove however is a world class chippy .
Brighton haven't played in the top flight for years and I doubt they will do it this year, I don't think we were too serious in signing Pritchard in the first place we go for the eggs and basket approach to transfers and we appear to be dropping a few dozen lately.

As soon as I read that, I thought of wet farts. Which, again, works as an analogy for our transfer business.
