In a strange twist of fixture program, City start their new campaign against the same opposition they finished the last - a trip to St Andrews for a test against the Brummies. That day, with neither team having much to play for, a 1-1 result was played out. Rowett oversaw an overachieving Brum side last season and has added to an already solid outfit, despite previous financial mismanagement. Does Trollope and his largely unchanged Bluebird side have what it takes to start the campaign with the full three points?

City have drawn the opening game of the previous two seasons 1-1. Chance of a hatrick?

Currently no changes in the rules as shown below -

    Scoreline
Correct Score (CS) = 3 pts
Correct Result (CR) = 1 pts

    Cardiff Scorers
Name one Cardiff scorer for a single point.
Can opt to predict no Cardiff scorers (by not naming a scorer) for a single point.

Three missed predictions on the bounce results in a 1 point penalty.
Predicting all 46 games = a single bonus point.

    Example
    Birmingham 1 -1 Cardiff
    Whittingham

    Good Luck to everyone! <ok>

Hmmm, new season already. How will we set up, who will play. Cardiff's new formation to catch early opposition out and we rout a few? Or will tried and trusted formations be too much for us to handle with our back three as we've not had enough time for our players to adapt?

Hopefully we'll see more possession than last season with our 5 in the middle and our midfield will chip in with a few more goals. Might make picking the scorer more difficult. Will we score more (which would make picking a scorer easier, but result in more people getting a scorer) but concede more?

Aaaarrggghhhh. Need more time to think about this, thankfully its only Tuesday. Plenty of time.

Going to leave it until later in the week.

Hopefully more entertaining than last year's fayre (on the pitch rather than sheepy's well run entertainment on here).

Good luck to the city and all those taking part.

Can't see beyond a point for this one.

I'll go for 1- 1 with Immers scoring for us.

Thanks again Mr. Sheep...really adds to the season for me. In fact this league was far more entertaining (and a lot cheaper)
than the actual events on the field last year.

I also think this looks like a draw all over on paper but I'm going to start off the season on a more optimistic note and go for a City win.

Brum 0 - 2 City with Pilks getting off the mark.

I will buck the trend therefore ensuring Cardiff have a winning start to the season - Brum 2 v 1 Cardiff (Whitts)

I am heading up to St Andrews for the game without my mate, BfB - can't even tempt him with a curry - miserable s*d :emoticon-0181-fubar

Anyway I've been feeling it will be a draw for a while now, just cant work out where our goal will come from, so I am going with

Birmingham 1 Bluebirds 1 with Mr Gounongbe to score .

    Cheers Sheepy

Not got a good feeling about the Brum game and this season in general. I've never seen us score at St. Andrews and with the strike force we have so far I can't see that changing this season unless we get in someone who has a much closer relationship with the back of the net.

I am completely underwhelmed and see no point in wasting time and effort to go to Brum. Not sure where BT is proposing to go for a curry. We went to a place in Monmouth last season. Not very good.

Anyway my prediction is Birmingham 1 Us 0.

As ever hope I'm wrong and we get a draw at least.
