I did'nt mean to chuck them but to give some a chance ' Moyes may have ideas to integrate a few - he does know how to bring youngsters on - it may be a solution IF we make no/little progress in transfer market - its a contingency only - I 'm not happy at the moment !!
Of course Ellis could flash the cash and invest heavilly yet. I always try to give us the chance to do business and then judge, but as the info comes through during this window you have to wonder what's going on. 6 months ago we expected a 10m bid for Ayew to be taken seriously. West Ham have just bid 20m. Sakho bid of 16m accepted but we only offer 10. We're splitting hairs over 5m for M'Vila when the second he signs he becomes a 15m player. All doesn't sit right with me.
I don't disagree you've got good sources ' let's wait and hope many of our fears are unfounded - Consecratio Excellentiae - sounds a bit hollow though
Whenever I see you write things like that I always think of Pavarotti.. Then I look at you avatar and wonder.. Can your dog sing like Scooby Doo.. No offence mate, just wondered that's all..
Don't think we have a fiver to spend mate.....it seems we have to take the empties back to the 'offie' to get our money before we make an offer that makes everyone laugh.......the money it would take to buy M'Vila at the moment he will have in his wallet....... :-(
Sunderland are working hard to bring in new players ahead of the Premier League season, insists first team coach Robbie Stockdale. The Black Cats remain the only top flight side yet to make any signings with the new campaign less than a fortnight away. The depleted squad has been hit further by injuries to Jermain Defoe and Jan Kirchhoff, with Billy Jones also going off injured in the 1-1 draw with Montpellier HSC. Defoe is out with a thigh strain and is set to miss the rest of pre-season, while German midfielder Kirchhoff has a hamstring strain. Patrick van Aanholt (groin) and Jack Rodwell (calf) are also out injured but neither are serious and both could feature against Borussia Dortmund, in Austria, next Friday night. Stockdale admits the injuries are "not ideal" but says the club is working round the clock to bring in new signings. The latest player to be linked is Dynamo Kiev and Croatia defender Domagoj Vida, 27, for a reported £5million. He can play centre-back and right-back. "We’ve obviously been looking, and the manager will have his targets," Stockdale told the Echo.
Just the club motto - the avatar dog died of cancer just after Christmas he could sing good for a dog mind - our new dog 10 mths can also sing a bit but not scooby style. Will probably change my avatar soon - not ready yet Too much (usual?) aggravation at SAFC - timing not right
Lakaku 3 seasons ago was worth maybe £40 m, but £75m now !, yes over inflated prices now as teams like Chelsea and Man u try to buy their way back into the champions league. I know we cannot spend that much, yet we are as big as Chelsea this season 6,000 more seats than them so something is wrong somewhere. What it means is some owners are there for profits and some are there for trophies. Should our capacity go to 65-70,000 ?.
We could always sell all of our players and then just sit with our fingers crossed that UEFA let us into the Champions League out of sympathy.
He once told me to ****off and that he wouldn't post again, then come back after about 20 mins, so sometimes a reply post will slip through the net. Some of his points, when he's not talking about transfers or stadium capacity, or new managers, often are worth debating so it's a shame he's not bothering.
Without sounding like a geek...... 'SIMPLEX' may be more apt ?!? Simplex communication please log in to view this image Simplex communication is a communication channel that sends information in one direction only. The International Telecommunication Union definition is a communications channel that operates in one direction at a time, but that may be reversible; this is termed half duplex in other contexts. A duplex communication channel requires two simplex channels operating in opposite directions. Just saying like
He wasn't worth £40 million then and isn't worth £75 million now ......... not sure what your point is.
