I think Amat has always done a good job when he comes in, Lets remember Williams missed about 3 games over the last 3 or 4 seasons, I just don't see Amat and Fernandez being able to do that, then we have VDH, who we know nothing about, may be good and Maybe ****e, 3 is not enough we will still have to sign another.
Absolutely no reason to jump down your throat lefty , I hope we are looking for another CB ...I just don't think it's critical at this moment . Out of a possible 78 starts at the CB position only 8 weren't occupied by Williams or Fernandez and of those 8 , 3 were a laugh with Bartley . And of his 5 starts last season by Amat , his final one turned out to be MOTM for him . I think Amat and Van Der Hoorn can carry the day pushing each other if push came to shove . I really do have a good ,long term , feeling about Van Der Hoorn ...time will tell
Do you think we'll get someone in? I have my doubts as a senior player of ash's calibre is few and far between. At best I think that we may go for Chambers on loan.
So we are going in to the new season with just 3 centre halves, so we get unlucky with a couple of injuries or a suspension and then we are ****ed. Our club is falling apart at the seams and Hj should be ashamed of himself as far as I am concerned, The club have it appears sold the fans out and are allowing it to fall apart, My only hope is we see Siggy sign a new contract so I just hope he knows more than us in signing it, because if I was him and seen our lack of anything we have done in the transfer market, I would have been out the door in a flash.
CB is not a priority according to the info I'm getting, we are completely concentrating on the front line, that might change in January, who knows with the way we have been performing in the transfer market these last few seasons..........
In all fairness to Guidolin I fell sorry for him as our half wits on the board might as well ties his hands behind his back to expect him to get half a side to stay in this league this season.
January could be too late if we suffer a serious injury early September when the window has closed ....
