So we would be in the market for a young upcoming CB talent who is comfortable controlling the ball with both feet ??
Dier can also play there and we've just strengthened his position by buying Wanyama. I'd like to see us bring in somebody as cover and loan out Ball and Carter-Vickers, so an old head could be the answer. Kolo Toure, Demichelis, Alex and Steven Taylor are all out of contract. On second thoughts, forget I said anything...
Late to this party but there is only 1 way to prevent all these games being a problem...... Lose all CL games and finish bottom of the group. That should allow us the best possible chance to get back in via the league and lose a further 6 next season
I'm just wondering who will go out first in the CL.Us or Arsenal.I'm assuming Arsenal will play weaker opposition.....and also wondering if Fabregas will be in the stand with his rattle cheering on the opposition?
If you'd have asked at the time, who many people would've picked Rose and Mason as the players that stayed? I certainly wouldn't have.

Two weeks to go before KO. The odd pre-season friendly still to do. With the current squad (signings/bans/injuries etc) , everyone think we are ready to go ?? Pick up 2 pts per PL game before Dembele appears and the CL group stage begins ??
Our typical starting XI probably won't change from last season, whilst our options from the bench have probably improved drastically since last season... Lloris Walker Toby Jan Danny Dier Dembele Lamela Alli Eriksen Kane Vorm, Wimmer, Davies, Wanyama, Son, N'K/J, Janssen What worries me is that beyond that group of 18 as a match day squad, the quality of remaining options drops significantly. I have a lot of time for them, but wouldn't want to rely on Carroll, Mason, Trippier, Yedlin, CCV, Winks and Onomah (given as a random selection to complete the 25-man squad) for more than a few matches at a time. We mock the likes of Liverpool for hoarding attacking midfielders, but the reality is that I can't see our squad in its current shape coping with all 4 competitions. Unless some of the youngsters have Kane or Alli like breakthrough seasons, I fear we may have to kiss the domestic cups an early goodbye if we want to impress in the CL and challenge for the title.
It wouldn't surprise me if he rotates the full backs again for much of the season. So far as I could see, that was more to do with ensuring season long fitness than it was to do with uncertainty over which were the 'first choice' picks. In spite of how good he was last season, I see Dier's place potentially coming under threat from Wanyama, once Moussa returns. I think one of the most important things this season, could be whether at least one (and hopefully more) of Son, N'K / N'J, Janssen, have the quality and consistency to come on and change a game, even against the top opposition. For me Son looked a bit of a flat track bully last season, and I'm hoping we're going to see him progress significantly this. In terms of back ups, I've got a lot of confidence in Onomah. I think his performances were under rated last season, and that he did fantastically well not to look out of place at all in the first team in his debut first team season. With the likes of chelsea man united and man city all strengthening potentially significantly from last season, it does look to me though that we could do with one top quality player coming in to help to take us to the next level. Fingers crossed Mr Levy pulls a rabbit out of the hat and give us all an early Christmas present in a month or so's time.
Is this foreign chappie daring to suggest an Englishman would dive? The absolute cad and bounder. Only Jonny Foreigner would lower himself to cheat in such an important game.
A very herd prediction with little insight as to why. As I said elsewhere, make them predict which of their predicted top 4 is most likely to eff up + who is most likely to replace them.
He reckons 1 Chelsea 2 Man City 3 Man United 4 Arsenal 5 Liverpool 6 Spurs He did say that the top six could be in any order, though. He has Leicester in 11th. http://www.skysports.com/football/n...redicts-final-premier-league-table-for-201617

Well then ... 2 pts per PL game. No overall change in the results compared to the same games last season. Scored one more goal, conceded the same. Dembele back in the fold. Rose effed up by Ingerland. Are we happy with that ??
