So J Forrest is a good attacking winger/AM buy, yet when I kept saying Pritchard, it's stupid coz we dont need a winger or AM. Forrest has pace and dribbling. I'd say we have the Murphy twins and Canos who can do the same as Forrest would bring. Pritchard is a free-kick, long shot and corner master. Which we don't have.

Wes Hoolahan, a lovely little man
And an Irish magician to boot,
There´s so much he can, I´ve always been a fan
And his talent is still bearing fruit. :emoticon-0137-clapp

I appreciate Maddison won't start every game, but he did OK last Tuesday.

Didn't mention Maddison. I'd say he was in the Hoolahan role. Behind the strikers. Forrest is a Winger.

It should be stressed that Forrest is only a speculative rumour so far. The difference is that he is primarily a RW who can also play LW or AM, whereas Pritchard is an AM who can also play out wide. Either could do a good job for us though.

Pritchard can also sit in CM. He wouldn't be a defensive sit, but he can play there.

Wes' new contract will also take him to ten years at the club.

    Ah, sorry mate.

Yea, I think he did take them for Coventry, but it's a lot shy of Championship standard. He would prob be behind Brady and Wes on Set Pieces. I think Pritchard would jump straight to the top, or alternate with Brady depending on the side of the pitch.

I know we're all still desperately hoping we will sign a commanding centre back, but just a moments reflection.

Klose, Bassong, Bennett, Martin..........does any Championship side have a better set of central defenders than that?

Have to agree. I thought he was "over the hill" and on his way out of the door three seasons ago. Inconsistent as they get but still an quality asset in the Championship

I'm starting to dispare with this whole McCormack saga. If the buyout clause is £15M and Fulham won't take anything less (At least in theory!) What are we doing? If we can't/won't pay that? why have we not moved on to other targets? Why has it taken this long to go basically nowhere? If the price was always £15M with a buyout clause and we knew that, what did we wait for? Did Neil not identify him as a target straight away? It appears he is our top priority target. So why did we not on outside appearances do every thing to make it happen so he was ready and with us for the whole of pre-season? McCormack might have been hoping for a PL club to come in, but surely we should have got to a point with Fulham and his agent that if that didn't happen a fee was broadly agreed and personnal terms at least talked about and known to be affordable.
I just hope we have someone else lined up, the way this is going I can see Fulham having messed us around well into August and if we get him rather than a knee jerk last minute loan, it will be for the £15M that they wanted in the first place.

    Bah!

Is this going to be the classic punter's double your losses strategy... Having wasted 8.5m on Ricky and the jury still out on Naismith for a similar fee, are the Norwich board going to be tempted to pay out nearly double that on another striker punt?

Lets put it another way as a starting solid reliable pair to build a team around and bring confidence to players around them, do we have one. If Klose gets injured would you still be as confident
