Got to dig out heels in for £25million. I don't want him to go but if it hits that I can take it in the chin.
No smoke without fire and all that. This has got to be THE worst pre season in terms of transfers ever!
It's not a one off article, there's defo enough coming out of the press to safely assume Everton are interested imo.
I think there's little doubt they are interested, the question is does Kone want the move. The suggestions are that he does.
I think he'll go where the money is. I think he'd give us the chance to offer an equivalent pay rise and in turn stay. My concern is Short refusing and sanctioning the sale instead. £25m for us but I think Short would buckle at £20m
And Ashley Williams I saw earlier. Seems perfectly logical that they'd want all 3 along with the three or four they've already got!
Obviously they'll only want one of the three. Shortlist init. There's probably more on it than those three.
The squad's paper thin. No one leaves until a replacement is already signed up. If this guy is good enough, get him signed and get Kone out the door.
Surely we need another CH in and not one in one out, if the club do this then we all have to take a hard look at Short's ambition for us as he's already under the microscope over his transfer dealings.
We were lucky that Kone hit the ground running in January, there is no guarantee this guy Mbodj will do the same, too great a risk for me.
