Martial's record is a bit different, for 3 years he'd been touted as a massive talent of the future, he was never seen as a goalscorer as such, United got a massive bonus there.

Martial always looked a threat and mentally focused.

And Januzaj was not touted as a talent of the future?

We knocked back a £40m bid from PSG.

Van Gaal ruined him by signing that ****ing rat Di Maria and shunning him and publicly humiliating him. No wonder the boy is void of confidence.

I'm sorry mate you can be as defensive and aggressive as you like, the lad didn't knuckle down and the lad, unquestionably talented, has never shown any consistency whatsoever.

There is no doubting his natural ability, but then there was no doubting the natural ability of many, many equally and more gifted before him.

van Gaal maybe, but was he at Dortmund? No. Dortmund's midfield at the start of last season was hardly impenetrable, he didn't get a sniff for a reason.

I would love him here but absolutely, whoever takes him, wherever he goes, there's massive question marks, right down to his choosing his national side.

I admire your staunch defence of all things United, I really do, but not everything out of Old Trafford farts rainbows.

Januzaj is an incredibly talented maybe, that's what he is as it stands.

Doesn't bother me mate, I'm sure I'm guilty of blindly defending all things Safc at times.

Nowt wrong with being assertive or aggressive in your opinions anyway, just doesn't make them fact.

    Aggressive though... Jesus Christ.

I fail to see where I'm blindly defending the lad, I'm just putting a price on his head that I'd hope we would sell him for. Few people have since gone on and made a big deal out of it, like they think I'm Ed Woodward or something, I couldn't give a **** WHAT we sell him for in all honesty, it's not my money so it makes no odds to me, I'd just prefer we keep him because even if some of you lot think he's a busted flush, I still rate the lad highly.

It seems to me that people have an issue with me rating him, like it's illegal cos they think he's ****.

It's boring now, let's just all accept he's utter **** and he's worth £35 and draw a line under it.

It's actually a blue tie mate. When I read your comment I went on the club website to watch it and specifically looked to make sure (to the point that I never heard a word he was saying, lol) too focused on the tie.

Well - he seems to have hit a nerve with a lot of Man U fans.<laugh>

How Moyes treated Manchester United fans unfairly
David Moyes did himself no favours by claiming Manchester United was his 'level' as a manager having overseen their worst season in 25 years.
"Managing Manchester United gave me an unbelievable idea of what it is like at the top. I believe that is where I can work and that is where I should be working," Sunderland manager David Moyes said on Monday.
"My level is that, because that is what I saw when I was there. You don’t get offered those jobs if you’ve not done something to deserve it. I am a better manager now for that experience."
United fans have ridiculed Moyes today. His level is now relegation fodder, having also been sacked by Real Sociedad after a year.
Moyes also claimed he was treated 'unfairly'. It was Moyes who treated United supporters unfairly with his dithering and diplomatic management. Here are six instances:

    Late start
Jose Mourinho rocked up in Carrington in May. The United manager is so punctual when it comes to preparations he became frustrated following a period of transfer inactivity in June and he has not hidden his dissatisfaction over the wasted week in China.
Moyes, ever the diplomat, arrived at United's training base on July 1. United were culpable for refusing to pay off the remainder of his Everton contract, yet Moyes managed like someone who had not done his research. His indecision was such that dead wood like Anderson lingered. Nani earned a new contract in September yet, come April, started at Everton in what Moyes later conceded was a shop window tactic.
Judging by his content sound bites about inheriting a 'really good squad', Moyes's preparation was as questionable as David Cameron's resignation honours list.

    Rejecting Thiago
Brilliant at that summer's European Under-21 Championship, Moyes had a free run at Thiago but overlooked him in favour of prioritising a marquee move for Cesc Fabregas (more on him later).
At a time United had not signed a central midfielder in six years, Moyes's dithering and diplomacy intensified concerns about a manager who took an infamous amount of time to scout players while at Everton.
One Evertonian described Moyes's transfer policy as 'Track. Mull. Ponder. Consider. Plot.' The only thing Moyes plotted was his downfall.

    Cesc pest
For Moyes and Ed Woodward, they were perhaps so closely involved during the Fabregas discussions they could not see the wood for the trees. From the outside, it seemed apparent the pair were being led down the garden path by a player eager to cement himself under a new Barcelona manager.
Moyes was confident of signing Fabregas had he remained at United the following year, when the Catalan decided it was time to return to England. It is a great what if but Woodward's 'urgent transfer business' was anything but and United wasted an inordinate amount of time on a target who was never attainable.

    Thinking he could sign Bale
One member of Gareth Bale's camp said as early as January 2013 the Welshman had promised him lunch with Cristiano Ronaldo in Madrid the following season. You did not need to be the United manager to realise Bale had his heart set on one club that summer and, irrespective of United's willingness to gazump Real's offer amid encouragement from Tottenham, Bale did not want to remain in the Premier League.
Misspending time on such an unattainable target was inexplicable and Moyes, as awestruck by the war chest as John Travolta was with that briefcase in Pulp Fiction, was out of his depth.

    Indulging Rooney
In summer 2013, Robin van Persie was one of the best strikers in world football and had just scored 30 goals to ensure United won their 20th title. Crestfallen at Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement, Van Persie's mood did not improve when Moyes dedicated much of his time on encouraging Wayne Rooney to stay.
There was a reason why Ferguson, someone who vowed a manager should never publicly criticise his players, decided to publicly claim Rooney had submitted a transfer request. All Moyes had to do was dot the 'i's and cross the 't's on a departure yet, understandably, he saw a challenge in Rooney, a player he was accused of mismanaging at Everton.
Moyes, to his credit, coaxed improved performances from Rooney and convinced him to sign a new contract. It was not to the benefit of the team, though, since United invested so much time in Rooney when the squad needed an overhaul.

    'Aspire to be like City'
For those who were present for Moyes's address following City's 3-0 win at Old Trafford, the infamous 'aspire' quote did not prick up ears - because we did not hear it.
City had dismantled United without Sergio Aguero, their spine of Vincent Kompany, Yaya Toure and David Silva performed indomitably, and Moyes was asked by Sky Sports's Geoff Shreeves whether he thought United had faced the champions.
"We've played a very good side and it's the sort of standard and level we need to aspire to get to at this moment in time." Shreeves replied that 'must be difficult for United supporters to hear' and, during his walk along the south stand and into its bowels to attend his post-match press conference, it perhaps dawned on Moyes just what he had said.
The rhetoric was utterly unbecoming of a United manager.

    Indulging Rooney <doh>

FFS, they're still doing that now .......... so this joker thinks his first act, as the new manager, should've been to sell golden boy.

That would've instantly endeared him to the supporters I expect.

Exactly - and then just say that Bale & Fabregas are not good enough so I won't be putting an offer in.
