It's usual for the first match of the season to decide which team is going to win and has better odds .....but going by recent friendlies and Argyle give a good account on the day, I predict 2-0 to Argyle against The Shrews.
    Your predictions......? <ok>

We've got to be in a win win situation with this one. If we win it's 3 points. If we lose we've got to remember what happened when we last played Shrewsbury (tell me Jack is it shr -ooze or Shr -oze) on the opening day. We only lost a further five times all season and won this league by a country mile (well 5 points). One of those 5 defeats was against Shrewsbury again and if I remember on both occasions Shrewsbury played long periods with only 10 men in both games. We've just got to make sure they keep 11 on the pitch on Saturday.

original names, sciropsberie, then shrozebury. it is about 50/50 on shrews and shrows. i have always said shrows, but many pronounce it as it is spelt

just beware of our 4 strikers and keep well away from that goal netting, it may not cope with the hammering our strikers may give it. we use exra tough grimsby netting, hand stitched on the quayside by redundant trawlermen

How come they are still in this league if they are that good atcham jack.........sounds like a load of old shoemakers to me (or even cobblers).

Hey hey you gotta love the humour of these wannabe Welshies <laugh><laugh>

Hard enough to predict the team let alone score but going 1-0 to the Arglye 87th minute Hitchcock in off the post from a Daley cross (after nutmegging first defender, then weaving past 2 more)

Watch out the Shrews the Teen Army are coming to town.

PS Can you make sure there are some colouring books and pens on the bench for our subs please:emoticon-0102-bigsm

reading one or two accounts of the game, some shrews were impressed with argyle's performance and there is a belief you could suprise a few teams and do well. keep it up well done, what a corker of a goal from argyle

Well a 1-1 draw just as I predicted, well almost. Good point and a decent start for us, hopefully will give the youngsters some heart and get the dressing room up. Last minute equaliser can feel better than an easy win sometimes and Shrews will be up there at the end of the season I think so all in all a pretty satisfying result.
