I've always failed to see why people rave about him but he's certainly talented. Dropping down to our level may make him realise that talent only works alongside attitude and determination.
For some reason, out of the two (Januzaj & Fellaini) that Moyes has declared his interest in, this is the one that I'm least excited about. Don't get me wrong he's a talented lad, but there seems to be something amiss whether it be application or attitude I don't know. Hopefully if we get him it'll kickstart his career again.
Moyes has admitted Fellani is well out of our reach at the moment. Probably right too. This would work for me if he's sorts his attitude out and we sign M'Vila. That would make our defensive and attacking midfield needs catered for this season imo.
Hope we haven't blew the budget on this one, happy with it though just think other positions needed sorting first, still crossed fingers
How much do we reckon he'd cost? It's a difficult one with him not having much game time, about 12 mil maybe?
If we got him it'll be on loan, then if he does even anywhere near remotely well then I expect we would be quoted somewhere nearer that. We then wouldn't be able to afford him/he wouldn't want to stop at SAFC anyway, he will either stay at Man U and push for a first team spot, or some team with money to burn will buy him. That's what Man U's plan would be anyway.
Often in the past it has been reported that players we have been linked to are permanent transfers only to be disappointed to find that we have got them on loan instead. I will be very surprised if this was any different.
Reckon Moyes is saying that to make Ellis open his wallet a bit? Like saying "hey you know if you want to push the boat out a little bit, this is the calibre of player we could get." Why not say £20m for both Januzaj and Fellaini. Match Fellaini's wages of £80k per week which is the same as Defoe and get cracking with the other signings. My guess is we'd Januzaj alone for about £7m-£10m with a **** load of clauses/add-ons.
Khazri and Borini. We've currently got Lens and Watmore as well who can all play either wing. Borini has again said he want to stake his claim to be the main man up top. That could be an option if we're getting another winger in however I don't think he's clinical enough to do it, personally. What's your thought on it mate? If it were a permanent transfer how much are you expecting to get for him? Think it'd be a good move for him?
Depends how the deal is structured. I'd prefer a loan deal initially, but if he's got to leave for good I'd want a clause to buy him back, to avoid another Pogba situation. I think a Pl move would be good for him yeah, one way or another. I can see him having a good season if he gets a team that'll give him that LF spot where he's best imo.
Fiorentina and Milan are interested in Manchester United’s Adnan Januzaj, according to reports. The Belgian winger spent six months on loan at Borussia Dortmund last season, but made just 12 appearances and was sent back in January. Reports in Britain suggest that the 21-year-old has been told he can leave on loan, but he would prefer a permanent transfer. According to Tuttomercatoweb, both Milan and Fiorentina are interested in bringing Januzaj to Italy, but he also has options in England. Chief among those would be Sunderland, whose manager David Moyes gave Januzaj his United debut during his spell at Old Trafford. http://www.football-italia.net/88604/fiorentina-milan-battle-januzaj
See Moyes is moaning about him being treated unfairly at Old Trafford. I wonder if he's realised he has a new job yet. I'm starting to understand your feelings towards Bruce.
