My grandaughter was fiddling with my computer keys and somehow managed to get the task bar on the left edge of the screen and my screensaver turned with it. I was able to drag the task bar back to the bottom but with the tabs wrongly aligned and in the wrong position. The screens aver remains 90 degrees out of kilter - system restore isn't an option (never worked since new). Anyone got a fix?

By the sounds of it try: Ctrl-Alt-Down Arrow (hold Ctrl-Alt down and press the Down arrow)

    Try to press

Ctrl+Alt and the arrow pointing up.
Possibly Ctrl+Alt and < or > (the arrows next to the digits)

As above, simple fix. Or just turn your monitor 90 degrees.

Have you tried turning it off and then hitting it with a hammer?

    Haha, was gonna say
We had strict rules about always locking our PCs @ my last job.
I'd change to some silly pic and tilt the screen

"GOD DAMN IT FEBBOS" would be heard across the office.
I'd get the blame whoever did it.

Exactly the same at my place too. Essentially a great (but ultimately harmless) way of annoying anyone who didn't lock their PC.

Thanks for the info Gents .... everything now right way up. No need for Sterlings Plan B (but thanks anyway), or Kemptons Plan Z (the **** him).

Depending what version of Windows you are using....you might be able to do this to prevent it happening again

Steps 1-Move the mouse to the screen & right click (you will see View, Sort by, Refresh, Graphics Properties...point to Graphics Options & Select Hot Keys. 2-Select Disable. 3-Now if you try to press [Ctrl] [Alt] + Arrow Keys the video screen wont rotate any more. If for some reason you want to control screen rotation just Enable it again.
