    Morning all

I'm seeing Roofe as a striker so we have 4 up front and 3 on the wings with out Hernandez. Hernandez would make winger number 4.

On the defense situation I've noticed Mckay and Denton have got squad numbers so it could be interesting to see what he has panned for them. Granted I would feel more confident with another CB signed and Perico being signed. I think Berardi will go on to the left and battle it out for 1st choice with Taylor.

There are too many negative Leeds fans out there. It sad to see that when we bring 6 news players there are people screaming how we are going to get relegated.

The idea of us getting promoted seems to be a popular one this week. There was article in Inside Futbol saying we were going to be on of the 3 who will be promoted

Hernandez to play No10 role again for Monk as he did at the Liberty. Pablo was brilliant for him there and will do it again for us. Very positive about this signing as he has class

Agree totally. If promoted they'd be first to whinge Cellino wasn't spending 200m on a new team for the pl and that we're facing doom and relegation again

I wouldnt say the majority of those fans want the club to fail Elland, its more of a case that every season we get this wave of "oh this will be our season "hype and year after year the club fails to make any significant progress.

Now I could say that with the appointment of Monk and the new signings, then we are moving in the right direction However, I think back to over the last 10 years and wonder how many times I have thought that, only to find that at best there has been a minor improvement, but the majority of the time its been more stagnation, when it comes to actual football performances.

I guess from my point of view, I'm hoping that I will be proved wrong, and that this will be better than just a mediocre season that I expect. Would I love us to go and win every game this season, of course I would. Does every defeat still hurt, even when its expected, very much so.

Do our new signings give me inspiration, then being honest I have to say no. Maybe, as numerous WUMS from other clubs would say, I'm living in the past, and as much as I give Sniffer grief about his numerous posts, maybe I am just as unrealistic as he is, in expecting OUR club to be better than it is, in every aspect.

At the end of the day though everyone of us will have hopes and ambitions for the coming season, I have just set mine to be very low down the ladder.

Any negativity that a supporter gives on this forum or any other form of social media, matters not one jot, providing that when those players enter the playing field we each give the team our 100% support during the game.

You are right about our eternal optimism which is usually dashed after a couple of months. This year I hope will be different. I am impressed with Gary Monks statements and I think he will get the team playing good football. If we continue to have problems in defence I am sure he will address it.Good early results needed.

Negativity is borne out of actuality been nowhere near as good as thePR and spin.

The most likely scenario this season is 16-23 in the league and Monk gone by October. That's not negative it's an honest assessment in where we are and what Cellino will do. Unless something has changed that we don't know it's how it will be. No point been an optimist as it only magnifies the pain.

Aski this is the first time for years that Ive been optimistic. Started with Monk and his team then the signings. Yes all need to work out as they are cheap, but seen many expensive flops in my time her. Roofe, Antonsonn will shine. Sakho could be brilliant and I think Grimes can replace Cook. Green will stop the odd goal that we let in in the past which turns a loss into a draw or draw into a win.

I could be wrong of course but on a shoestring budget Inthink we are on the up

Stay off the Waccoe site then mate, I've never seen such a negative set of losers in my life. Every other thread is either slagging of Cellino or slating new signings. It gets monotonous. <doh>

You will soon see that positivity is as pointless as homosexuality.
Flitting between optimism and pessimism means you are the emotional equivalent of bisexual.

So we are going for another winger, after looking at the current squad we look very unbalanced, but in Monk we have to trust, well for a little while!!
