Those 8 matches saw us produce some of the worst football in my 42 yrs as a spurs fan. I had got a few hours extra in work so managed to be able to go to the Wigan, Hull and villa matches...we scored 1 goal and that was a shot that deflected off bents arse when he failed to get out of the way of a shot going wide. All three of those matches were awful but nowhere near as dire as the Stoke and pompey matches that I saw live on tv!
Interesting to hear Winks talk about Wanyama mentoring him on and off the pitch: http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/first-team/general/harry-winks-on-victor-wanyama-300716/?
Poch's given an interview where he talks about the last three games of the season: http://www.espnfc.com/club/tottenha...y-to-move-on-from-tottenham-end-of-season-woe On obvious point, though: people, both journalists and posters on here, point to the Chelsea game as the one where the players lost their heads - yet they forget there were signs of this during the West Brom game that came before, as that followed a similar pattern to the Chav game where their tactics saw the players dragged into a fight rather than a football match, with similar results.
Both matches were similar in that antagonism was tried (Chelsky being the worst in the PL for a long time) . And Spurs having not put either game to death well before such antics became an issue.
Just seen this... https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...7-signs-first-professional-contract-tottenham Haven't seen a lot of him, but what I have seen he looks some prospect...
Reckon this kid is probably the most over hyped player in football history. Weighs about 4 stone. Total waste of time and money.
Like I say, seen very little of him. But he seemed to do well, especially for a youngster, against Atletico. Plays without fear, which I like. He must have something or MP wouldn't have pushed to get him his pro contract.
Son has buggered off to the Olympics, saying that he's sorry for letting his teammates down, but proud to represent his country. Judging by the state of the facilities over there, I think this is not the only time that he's going to be sorry for going, unfortunately. Absolute **** show over there.
Rob you ****ing party pooper! In a few years time, when Edwards has won the PFA and Young PFA awards, signed a new long term contract having hit 18 goals and assisted 13, played a key part in our FA Cup winning side, nutmegged Messi in our CL quarter final fixture and helped England win the next European Championships, I'm gonna re-quote your comment .
Dele Alli will have done that long before this kid does. In fact, I would like to Allis' CL nutmeg target list for this season. Sergio Ramos must be top of the list.
They say Dele was born holding a football, thus achieving his first nutmeg as soon as his mother delivered him.
Why do you think that, Rob? He looks very impressive to me. There are a host of clubs interested in him too, which suggests that they're all seeing something. Potential often doesn't get fulfilled, but I think he'll get the opportunity at Spurs, which is nice to see.
