    Love my R1 for track days etc but as a sign of getting old I've just put in an order for a new KTM 1290 Super Duke GT for a bit more comfort touring

    I cannot say I have a true favourite of all the bikes I've owned over the years, loved them all for different reasons, from my derestricted Yamaha FS1E (fizzy) to my 250 Superdream, I suppose at the time my favourite & bike I missed most (and the reason I bought another last year)....my Yamaha RD350LC......I've toyed with vintage British & a classic Triumph Bonneville & a Norton Commando, a bit of Italian exotic with a classic Laverda Mirage & my Ducati & MV Agusta

    Hopefully the KTM should be here to collect when I get back from Rio in 10 days (got Olympics opening ceremony, beach volleyball & diving tickets....fly out Wed).....just in time to give it a blast over to the IOM for the Classic TT

    Least with scooters folk look at em and tell they had one snd they look sound and smell brill. Only thing ever mentioned about a modern bike ive heard is id love my kettle in that plastic...

    as they fly past at 140mph plus ......
    Anyone can add a drop of Castrol R to a 4 stroke petrol tank to get that smell. It even works in cars.
