Good Morning Everyone, Pablo Hernandez is to undergo a medical at Elland Road later today. The 31 year old has been on loan to Rayo Vallecano who play in the second tier of Spanish football. He has a wealth of experience and those in the know rank him very highly. It's all well and good us signing another winger (as described by wiki) but we already have Sacko, Dallas, Botaka and Roofe. Do we really need another winger? To me, wingers are a luxury. They are the position in the team you may as an impact. We have gone from having no wingers to 5 wingers. If we put that in perspective, we only have 6 defenders in total in our first team. What I would do to have a marquee central defender signing for us! I am being told that Monk sees him as a number 10. Thoughts? Former Millwall legend Ian Holloway has told Sky Sports that Leeds United will finish sixth in the Championship table this season. Morning all... Wasn't sure if you were going to post this morning Elland (Breakfast Debate) so I started to type one up, what I wrote was so near to what you have just posted it's uncanny... Anyway, ditching that and replying... Signings... I do fear a little (just a little) that Monk wants to make his mark and a couple of faces don't fit. I hope Botaka has been given a proper look at and I don't mind Dallas although he divides fans opinion. The new winger, if he plays are we dropping Mowatt or Roofe? I know we all hope it is Mowatt but coaches must see something we don't as he continues to be picked. New RB - I still don't understand why we need one, this is the largest mystery, I just hope Berardi isn't going to be sold. Holloways comments, after Saturday I am starting to believe 6th is possible.

Monk was quick to play down the performance of Vieira saying he has a lot to learn. Why play down his performance? In case Cellino asks why the need for a Bridcutt or Huws?? 99% sure there is a bit of gamesmanship between Cellino and Monk with who we should be signing, Perico the prime example
If we'd signed a CB and either a LB//RB I'd be coming into the new season buzzing, but we are to short in defence. Hope that changes in the next couple of days. I still think Pablo Hernandez would be a class signing for us mind.
Agree Ristac, I think Monk may be over anxious in his approach, it's quite possible, and highly likely 1 or 2 of his signings won't be up to scratch, hopefully it's not the case; having said that, it's possible some of our players may not cut it this season either. Dallas is one of those rare wingers that can get down the wing and get his crosses in but, he's not top notch skilled but makes up for it in his work rate, he can also play both wings. I don't think Mowatt will cut it this season, seems to have lost a lot.
Good morning everyone. It is too late now for any new signing to make a significant difference to the start of the new season. It seems we will start with what we have got in defence.I am hopeful that the new coach has inspired more confidence and communication. We will soon see. Good luck to Gary and all the team.
Going on last season I don't think Mowatt had a lot left to lose. I still bet he starts on Sunday against QPR
Guys please remember that Monk likes players to be able to play in. 2 positions to give options. Roofe will play up front with Wood or Antonsonn, botaka will be loaned out I reckon and Holloway is wanting to be next coach if Monk fails I see we still have a load of fans telling us how **** Monk and the squad is ( social media) but if a player has been un the Spanish squad recently especially when they were the the best team in the world, promise me tou'll buck up. Give all the players tour support for a change instead of banging on about how shyte ghey are. Taylor at the minute is leaving but will change his mind if we do some damage this season. Mowatt may be off too as he thinks hes better than he is. I hope Monk can convince Cellino to invest in his academy

According to Joe Rawson the Pablo medical is done and dusted and deal done. Loan which turns into a buy. Monk also saying he will reveal his targets this week
If McGreedy signs for Norwich for £12m Leeds are in line for £400k as part of the deal, so not bad. The twat that keeps on giving
