It explains much of what has already been said in terms that even some of these numbskulls should be able to understand.

Sorry, not quite sure what your saying here. The spat started because Custard rightly questioned the 3000 job losses that Lloyds are some how are blaming on Brexit. He also posted a couple of articles showing both McDonalds and Glaxo, which were instantly dismissed because it didn't suit the remains argument.
I don't ask for "likes" when I post, in fact I don't really care if I get no response at all. I responded to what I thought was a pretty crass dig at the brexit posters. As for not getting under your skin, I would suggest words like scum, would suggest otherwise.

To explain, GSK export the vast majority of what they manufacture in the UK. Therefore, the weaker pound is good for them as it makes their goods cheaper.

McDonalds figure that people will still eat crappy junk food, whatever, I assume. You could also, argue that with a slowing economy and consumer confidence way down that more people will take the cheaper option when eating out.

McDonalds must have remarkable foresight, given the expansion was planned quite some time ago.

It's just a suggestion. But people will still eat that **** pretty much whatever...

Reading quickly through their plans, it seems that they planned to introduce table service in around 400 of their 'restaurants'. I assume that's a start to see how it goes, but it would account for some of the new jobs.

Yes I understand perfectly well what GSK produce and where it goes, I used to work for them!!!! (Mind you when I started it was Burroughs and Wellcome).
The point I was making, was that the remainers on here jumped onto the Lloyds article which mentioned 3000 job losses and somehow Brexit was responsible. Custard quite wrightly pointed out that the Lloyds decision was made before the referendum and is a result of our move to online services. He then posted a couple of articles which showed a big investment in the UK from GSK and McDonalds, both of which will go some way to offsetting the Lloyds job losses.
Whilst all job losses, in whichever sector, are always bad news, Brexit cannot be responsible for all of them. As I have mentioned before, we were not exactly in a great place before the referendum, those who think these and more job losses wouldn't have happened are frankly delusional.

So please feel free to tell us, for your Bloomberg article mantra chanting, which
specific parts of the "market" :

    1. should be acting on that article right now in an observable manner
    2. will be acting on that info with a "short" or "long" term view

There is more than ample evidence that Brexit has caused a sharp slowdown of the U.K. economy.
Yes, there may well have been redundancies with or without Brexit, but there is also little doubt that it will cause many more. Plus many moratoriums on hiring.

The U.K. GDP was up 0.6% in the second quarter. We won't see the figure for the third quarter until October, but expect a flat to maybe even negative number.

As I was paid in Euros for my recent gig ...

    Nov/Dec 2014 : GBP = 1.26 - 1.27 EUR. Jan 2015 : all hell broke loose and it rose to GBP 1.40s.
Fluctuated for most of the year, hitting 1.45+ at times.
Then a gradual descent so by the end of Jan 2016 it was back at the level of 14-15 months earlier.
