Reckon this was off as soon as Sam was leaving. Had Sam stopped I reckon he'd be on his way here instead of them.
So according to this article we are willing to pay £11 million for this chap! but according to others will not pay £5 million for M'Vila. Makes sense. I'm not sure how I'd feel if we paid £16 million for Sakho mind! The man wants to leave West Ham so £11 million should have been accepted I would have thought.
He was Big Sam's target. We've got Moyes now. Simple as that really with no DoF in place. All deals start from scratch usually with new targets.
Can't say I'm heartbroken by missing out on him. But that's just because I'm hoping DM already has his own targets and the club is actively engaged in bringing them in. If not, we're up striker's **** creek with no paddle until January.
Although the price is inflated like most other deals this summer im disapointed hes going to a rival. I think him and Defoe would have linked up very well.
Becoming very clear where our problem lies. Everyone understands the market is inflated except us. Yep, the yank is cutting off our oxygen transfer wise.
Even ****ing Wolves chucking £20million bids in. Norwich close to £12million for McCormack. We will never progress like this.
****ing Short man. I wish he'd sell up and **** off. He literally made his millions by cost cutting and stripping assets. Not the sort of person we need running our club. Wish to god a buyer would step in.
I bet this is 2002 all over again. When will they learn ? we stay up by the skin of our teeth and it takes 9 to 10 weeks to sign a player, but we STILL have not, that team who drew yesterday did not impress me, we should be moving to the next level now, but looks like not. Can he or anyone explain Chelsea's spending ? Bournemouth paid £15 m for Ibe and he scored yesterday, the Boro get Negredo on loan, Palace bidding £25 m for players and we do nowt hehe.
I don't care what he says he hasn't any ambition for the club. He's been good for us and kept us out of the **** but it's time he shifted along, he has no intention of growing the club.
Oh no. He's in recoupe money mode. Has been for ages. We'll never be able to compete until he gets real. Our aluation for Sakho was 6m out on his true valuation. I can see it now. Clubs laughing at our bids, probably not even justifying the insult with a response. We won't sign anyone unless short acknowlages the inflation in the presenet footballing econimy and adjust our budget accordingly. Everyone else has, which is why we'll always be beaten to a targets. Can see Kone being sold too. I think Short will pretty much force Moyes into having to sell him. ****ing skint flint.
I've never been bothered by transfer fees, somebody is only worth how much someone else is willing to pay. Our Jan window signings have proved that. My problem is that we are currently being heavily linked with anybody other than lazy links. I really hope the transfer staff are earning their coin at the moment, but lack of movement is worrying!
Didn't need to read the other posts, yours does.. If ever I wanted rid of an owner, it's that man.. Total shambles, you'd think we had a fiver to spend ffs..
Must agree here its looking Bob Murray grim on the transfer front I'm just really hoping our Moyesiah has firm irons in the fire otherwise it's bargain basement time as per usual . But looking on the positive side our young guns MAY provide an unlikely solution till Jan - aka Beckham Giggs etc at ManU ... Moyes Boys - hope it's not me being unrealistic
I believe to help your youth reach the best possible standards you develop them to their needs and not the needs of the club. Not only could relying on inexperience send us down, it could destroy the player too. Fergie brought those kids through when they were ready not at the club's needs. Chucking them in and hoping for the best has to be plan z imo.
