Nice to see a few early crosses getting in the box. Diomande took his goals well from the crosses. Elementary mistake by Davies - last man, put your foot through it man, no one behind you !
Clucas had a really good first season, until he tired a little and lost a bit of confidence towards the end. I would think he is a clever enough player to do quite well in a more central role. But some wise people on this board have already decided he's not up to it. Fortunately it seems Mike Phelan isn't one of them.
I like Diomande. We definitely need a new striker but I wouldn't go apeshit trying to sign more than two. I'd be satisfied with one mercurial striker this window alongside Hernandez, Diomande and Bowen. Diame really is our most talented player. Problem is, some games he plays like he deserves to be in Man City's starting XI and other times he looks like he can't be arsed. He's a luxury player for sure but I'd hope a new manager would try to get the most out of him every game.
I like him also, though for the moment one draw back is his physicality, yesterday he got clattered 2 or 3 times purposely, which did knock his confidence a bit.
I thought the same of Robertson last season, seemed like he could do with a bit of conditioning but maybe not to the extent Jake seems to have had
