What we BADLY need based on today's showing -

    A keeper

A centre half who is not Roger Johnson

A 2nd centre half because Konsa isn't ready

A creative midfielder who can thread a pass and create something

A winger with some pace and guile

At least one striker to help Ajose

To be fair Konsa looks decent, but in the side two years too early.

Foley a tidy player for those yet to see him, but completely defensive. Sits in front of Defence. Crofts similar so why sign them when we have Ba and Jacko?

He's more of a right back, Royston. Will allow solly to have a rest when needed. Crofts is a busted flush.

If we were normal I'd be happy to have Konsa as 3rd choice for us, he has played well, is fairly quick and looks solid defensively. Was he Gomez's CB partner in the academy? That must have been quite the pairing.

And apparently we want Thompson on loan too, another defensive midfielder. We could almost field an XI of just defensive midfielders

Seems Slade wants to give freedom to his wingers and strikers. Those two that sit will need a proper engine on them though - which with the average age of our CM's, I'm concerned.

Worked well when we had a 23 year old Stephens and 26 (i think) year old Danny Hollands

Gomez's partner was Terrell Thomas, Konsa's was Yeo.

The real challenge is finding 5 or 6 players who are prepared to come to a basket case club.

It would only be on loan mate, our owner never actually parts with money.

    Colin calls it right again.

After Meire sold all 3 of our keepers within a week, Colin was the first to
predict that Charlton would sign a new keeper.

I've actually been slating the regieme over this "loan" signing, and got some "you're negative" type comments back.

Declan Rudd, great player, but why not make him permanent? Loans have worked out soooooo well for us last season!

We need actual players, one that care what happens long-term to the club, not these short term-ist don't matter I get paid either way like previously.

Why would Declan Rudd want to join us on a permanent transfer? He is good enough to be a Premiership keeper. He has come to us for some game time. There is no way that we will get promoted with our current squad. More likely to suffer a second relegation. Our line up on Saturday, as things stand, will be Konsa and Johnson in central defence and Croft and Jackson in central midfield.
