2-1 FT. Another embarrassing result for Bilic and West Ham in Europe. Adrian was their MOTM and they looked absolutely miles off the pace. Clearly not taking it seriously. Missing some big players and short on numbers, but their fitness was appalling and they need a couple of signings. It's no reflection on how they'll be when they start the Premier League campaign, but that's a bit shameful, in my opinion. I don't get why they wouldn't take a tournament like that and try and do something worthwhile in it. Still a good chance of progress, though. Crnic was good for the home side.
You ran out of steam, plain and simple. The evidence was there for all to see in the Euro's, your players were knackered because of the amount of games they had played with a small squad.
Be fair, you don't get quality players to get you thru a PL + UEFA campaign on a plate (the LLDC don't do player signings, but if they did ... ) . So you have to see who Spurs are looking up, and then make silly bids that may end up costing Spurs.
Death, taxes and Drogba scoring against Arsenal: Can we loan him in for two games for the rest of his life?
Walter Zenga in as Wolves manager. He's like...Walter Zenga...wow! Apparently, they're freshly minted as well with another Chinese owner dreaming of world domination. I remember when they were absolutely flat broke and were renting out their boardroom to the local Polytechnic for £5 a day to hold lectures in '84. Also, when they broke the transfer record to buy Andy Gray in 1980. Of course, one of those caused the other. Is there a club that has fallen as far as Wolves did and come back? From Div 1 to Div 4 and the back again. I wish them well and particularly Mr Zenga who was a fabulous goalkeeper.
My first reaction is this appointment is ridiculous, although I suspect Jackett is well out of it. He has proved himself to be a stable manager who given the funds could do an excellent job somewhere. I doubt he'll be out of work for too long.
Rosler's joined Fleetwood. From the sounds of it he's joined them for greater freedom and less pressure. Seems sensible considering he's suffered at the hands of some trigger happy chairmen lately. Keep forgetting Fleetwood are in League One, incredible really.
The fact Fleetwood play at Highbury Stadium would put me off !! I had thought Rosler would get another chance higher up the league than League One, but obviously not. Good to see him back in the game though.
