Well I never knew that. We get little say? Surely though Adidas would give us a choice of at least 5 designs? If that's the case I shudder to think what the other designs/colours would have looked like! Surely Adidas marketing bods would have realised that the pink effort would be a little too daring and not go down too well amongst a lot of the local population.
Always thought this bizarre third strip had the look of a liquorice allsort, but saw somebody wearing it today and it's much better "in the flesh" so to speak than the pictures
So basically what you're saying is that they could give us a brown one with a picture of a steaming turd on the front with flies flying around it, and we'd just have to take it?
We'd be contracted too but I would have thought the club would refuse and commence some kind of legal action to prove refusing it was justified which wouldn't be hard. Also the FA probably wouldn't approve it. Adidas wouldn't anyway because it would turn them into a laughing stock as well as us.
Well if what you say is right & I have no reason to doubt you then it's time we ****ed them off. ****ing rubbish Adidas. They've not came up with a good one yet. It's ****ing awful, from the back they look like pork ****ing sausages. What you're saying is like going to a tailor for a suit & taking whatever you're given without choice.
Surprises me too. I get the feeling that we are left with one of the cast offs which has been designed by the spotty weirdo on work experience who is also in fact the son in law of Adidas' CEO.
At our level we're sharing templates with dozens and dozens of other clubs, every single kit we get. They just change details and colours. Very little thought is put in beyond the template designs. Most of the big kit makers work the same @Billy Bonehead. The little companies are more personal (Avec from our own experiences showed this when they did us some specialist designs but even then most of the time we shared templates with Sheff United) But small kit makers won't raise near enough revenue for a Premier League club. No such thing as traditional away colours anymore sadly. I'd have our 2nd strip blue and 3rd yellow every season if I had my way.
What the actual **** is that? Looks like a minchellas ice cream and some kid has gone mental with the monkeys blood.
Photo shoots at the AOL today. Expect the release very soon me thinks. Word is it will be blue and white.
