re Sandro & the link to Russia.......what with doping being a topic in the news would Russia be an ideal place for sicknote Sandro. Do the medical and pass the results of the tests through a hole in the meds room? just a thought....just a thought
Not sure how much we can read into it but he was not in his teams match day squad yesterday. It is definitely not because of form as he's the form player #1 in Norway at the moment.
Out of interest, where have our released players ended up? Surely someone of Hoilett's prowess is soon to be snapped up by one of the North American Soccer League's best reserve teams.
Had to post this, priceless picture This is the official tweet from Celtic, a picture speaks a thousand words they say... Couldn't they find just ONE where he seemed remotely happy? please log in to view this image Celtic Football Club celticfc Back at Paradise, Kolo Toure is officially unveiled to the media. #WelcomeKolo BBC: 11:55 a.m. - 25 July 2016 Celtic completed the signing of former Liverpool defender Kolo Toure on a one-year deal on Sunday, and he's attended his first official photoshoot today. He looks...thrilled.
http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/fo...k-Bamford-gossip-Aston-Villa-Celtic-loan-deal We are one of the 5 clubs in for Bamford...season long loan I expect it is lazy journalism. But think it is not the worst idea in the world...but if on offer he will go to Celtic...
No thanks, looked lazy as **** on loan at Palace. Then he threw a strop after a few games, because he wasn't starting and ****ed off !
Better than what we have no doubt. As you say, lazy journo probably given the pulling power of the others in the running and the loan fee he'd command. Not sure what Chelsea get out of retaining him.
Two new names http://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/football-wls-qpr-tottenham-alex-pritchard-jon-dadi-bodvarsson Icelandic striker..usually good
Interesting, not sure about Pritchard, whenever I've seen him he's played more in the middle than on the wing.We haven't done too well with Spurs loanee's,can't recall the name of the one we had when Arry was in charge, but I thought he was ****e ! Wouldn't turn my nose up at any Icelandic international, guaranteed to be the right sort and as long as he can put the ball in the onion bag,get him in.Would have thought that both would be in our price range !
I thought I saw him on the wing in the Euro's. Bodvarsson is a winger not a striker,2 goals in 26 internationals. Sigthorsson or whoever he is that plays for Ajax was their striker,we tried to sign him a couple of seasons ago !
Pretty sure he played in a front two in a 4-4-2 Leicester style lineup. Used for his work rate, hence his low goal return. Very Mackie'esque, so don't get your expectations up to much. Recently left the Norwegian league without leaving to big of a mark. Remember he had a couple of purple patches, but to inconsistent. He played all three positions up front in a straight 4-3-3 formation. He's a work horse, can't see him reaching double figures in the championship.
Leckie is "no go" according to Australian media - too much money, drop from Bundesliga, no offer tabled - take your pick http://theworldgame.sbs.com.au/article/2016/07/26/leckies-proposed-qpr-move-called
Just seen this, apparently we had talks with him, but we didn't make a formal offer. Another one falls by the wayside,we need to get players in rapid,or we're gonna get torn to shreds ffs !
Pity, I'm thinking a formal offer wasn't forthcoming. Normally any Aussie worth his salt would accept a carton of XXXX and a basic contract to play English football. Could be a case of agents asking too much. Ditch the agent and the deal happens.
