Simple Huw couldn't negotiate his way out of a paper bag, but don't worry we have serious connection with DC, init Huw!..............
As we all know Dai, a quality striker costs money. I'm afraid it's probably the latter part of your question.
A quality striker does not come cheap and is normally the most expensive player on the books.....At this stage of our premiership adventure we have to keep improving the squad every season and we should be looking now for a striker or two in the £15m to £30m bracket because that is what it takes to progress and keep up with other teams around us....Anything less then we will go backwards until finally we are struggling to compete due to lack of goals.....the striker is the most important position to get right and you cant skimp on that...
We've had a " Summer rebuild " and a " Summer Dismantle " , whereas since Rodgers and Laudrup left , we find ourselves in a position where we need a " Summer Rebrand " .......we ain't who we used to be in the eyes of managers and players outside and inside the club .
We have definitely lost our appeal to attract decent players that's for sure over the last few years.....
Disagree Dai. We've had 3 Windows where Huw has his head up his arse. If we are seriously interested in a player, we can get him, our trouble is, we are not doing enough to entice the players, we're holding out for the deals at poundstretchers.
And players sense that valley and the good ones are turning their backs on us.....Joe allen for example who dont think we have enough ambition to come here and chose stoke....
I don't think that clubs such as Bournemouth, Palace, Watford, Stoke are any more attractive than us but they're not having problems signing players. I think we all suspect what the problem is, however I hope next week we all end up with egg on our faces but I won't hold my breath.
When a club is overspending , it becomes attractive to managers and players .1 When you spend practically and get results , it becomes attractive to players ..2 When you have a good manager , it becomes attractive to players and those players play better3 IMO , we peaked with Laudrup with 2,3...
We are just making up the numbers now waiting until it our turn to be relegated....We have been one of the better sides that cant score enough goals to challenge for anything and until we get a striker who is good enough we will still be one of the best sides that fall short because of lack of goals.
When Williams pushed his negotiations till after Euro , I mentioned I was suspicious .....when Van Der Horn came in I became more suspicious .. I don't think Williams will go , but I wouldn't put money on it . If he did , consolation will be Jenkin's having bought out Stockports sell on clause for 300,000 ...
... and now we are linked with Chambers who is more a centre back than a right back - ask Monty! http://www.redlondon.net/2016/07/new-deal-arsenal-speaking-to-swansea-city-over-surprise-agreement/?
I guess we've just told West Ham if they want Ayew ,it will cost them20 million .....I suspect they will say ...SOLD,
I guess Joe went to Stoke because of ambition . The past 5 seasons Stoke spent a net 62,000,000 £ and averaged 10.8 in the table in those 5 seasons . The past 5 seasons Swansea made a net 2,500,000 £ and averaged 10.4in the table in those 5 seasons ...above Stoke I guess Joe measures ambition in most money squandered with less results , as he pockets some of that squandered money in good wages ....kinda the same way he walked to Liverpool's bench to count money
Hi Phill, yes Easyjet out of Bristol. If you think of going book as early as you can.I paid £155 pp.Checked a few days before flying it was up to £265! I cant believe we are dragging our feet on the striker front. This club I,we,love never ever ceases to amaze me.Lifts me up but can and will drop you like a stone next breath. Board sort it out, time is RUNNING OUT!
I don't believe for one second we made any attempt to get him after the euros, it was just some noise to the press to keep fans happy.
