    Last year, there were more goals per game scored in the Scottish Premiership than the English Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1.

    A total of 650 goals per game were netted in Scotland's top flight, the highest number since the famous 2002/03 season when Rangers defeated Dunfermline , who lay down and allowed Rangers to win 6-1 in the final game to pinch the title from UEFA Cup finalists moral victors Celtic .

    That averages out to 2.85 goals per Premiership game, more than in Europe's major leagues:

    English "****y" Premiership League: 2.70 goals per game

    La Liga: 2.74 goals per game

    Bundesliga: 2.82 goals per game

    Serie A: 2.58 goals per game

    Ligue 1: 2.53 goals per game
