Why do you bother reading this thread then? The content is obvious. Yes it is a football forum but with many many OT subjects that cover many other sports. Golf, Tour de France, F1 the list goes on.
How long have we got? Some City fans hate RL, some love it, some support Hull or Rovers as well as City. Some RL fans hate City and football, some love us, many support any other football team but City, some completely indifferent to football. The tinpot local media clumsily try to stir the pot, and often end up looking foolish. The police and local magistrates have different rules for the different sports. The rugby clubs have a manager, we don't. The rugby clubs have their names on the club crest and we don't. The rugby clubs value their heritage, our club disowns ours. I could go on.
Rugby league with no contested scrums, mauls etc like rugby union doesn't do as much damage to the pitch as football according to the grounds men. Apart from which the two sports don't use the pitch at the same time for most of the bad weather periods. Unlike at Leicester, Coventry and Swansea where the rugby union teams which cause more pitch damage than RL ones use the pitch all through the winter at the same time as football with no problems.
The ref stopping the clock in football would get rid of all this **** at the end of games we have these days. I would love it to be real time and no added time at the end. 90 mins would be 90 mins. Just my opinion mind.
When Rovers and FC rack up another 15 Cup wins between them and City get an FA Cup win we will have managed to equal the Cup wins of the massive city of Wigan, pop 91,000.
I don't watch much Rugby League....but at a guess I would say only the ref can decide on a video ref opinion.
Snide dig? Lighten up - It's called pisstaking humour mate - part of the local Hull culture, just like in Manchester. Liverpool etc. Any local team with ideas above its station and a poodle local media bigging its achievements up will quite rightly get ripped to pieces.
True .. He also consults the touch judges too. He make an on field decision like Try so if the Video ref cannot decide it goes back too the refs original decision.
Any Hull team that gets to Wembley can be bigged up IMO. We have enough twats in this country who pull our great city apart....looking at this forum there are many more in our own city..Shameful really. Well done FC...now go and win the ****er....in fact do the treble.
