Just started to get into ales, love a lot of stuff like Brooklyn lager, Adnams ghost ship and Samuel Adams beer. Love all the different tastes, I'm liking the lighter ales at the minute and there is any amount to choose from. I got recommended this, with this link you get a box of 10 beers for £10. It's then monthly cost of £20, but you can cancel after your first order you aren't tied in. My local club has two real ales on, change them all the time. I sample them all, there's not many I haven't liked. Range in strength from 3.5 - 8.2% all at £2.56 a pint. Never touch the bog standard ****e beer now.
I don't touch the ****e beer now, always look for some of the ales, the batch I got from this website was class, really nice especially compared to **** like fosters and carling
Fullers ESB. Like an angel crying on your tongue, to paraphrase Paul Hogan. Sadly, it's about 5.9% so the angel tends to come back the next morning and kick the **** out of your head...
I've got into drinking real(craft) ales -prefer light ones Blue Monkey at Steps is really nice as are most of light Kelham Island brews - infact mostlight brews are very nice - prefer medium strength - able to drink more and importantly remember what you've drunk
There's a restaurant that we go to that has Sam Adams, I really like that one and it goes great with a meal. I always put a few of them away. I've tried those boxes of different beers a few times and it's always interesting. I had an American mix and there were some 'orrible ones in there which is unusual because as a rule the only beer I don't enjoy is blond beer. I remember Pabst Blue Ribbon being particularly rank.

Love Peroni... not a big fan of ales, they bother me coming out the other end. Staropramen is my favourite beer lately.
Maybe the best lager out there. Another Italian one called Moretti is just as nice and comes in massive bottles so you can legitimately say you only had a few bottles while getting sloshed.
We have loads of micro breweries over here in the Lakes.Too many to list but each have their own touch, my favourites are heavy dark ales, Hawkshead Brodies Prime is classic, nearly 5%. You could get into trouble trying them all, but who cares.
I always try the local beers everywhere I go. Then the porters. I usually end up back on guinness though.
Nuclear Tactical Penguin at a mere 32% in York is a canny little ale.if ya want to collapse instantaneously frothing at the mouth. I love me Double Maxim but regularly drink real/craft ales. Most nice some the absolute pits. Usually find the weaker ones at 4-4.5% are the best. Doom Bar, Workie Ticket and Radgie Gadgie are sold in the pub where I go before the match and it would be rude not to imbibe a few prior to the footy.
Staropramen is my no 1 lager but I've tried some of the Brew Dog ales recently and they're bloody good, Punk IPA is just about the best beer around at the moment IMHO. Green Goblin from Lidls not bad either. Brew Dog served on draft in a pub in Dean St which I gotta try.
Just drank one of them but only a bloody little 330ml bottle. Very nice but cannot find any proper sized bottles of it.
Sainburys sell 500ml bottles as well now, just the punk though, the stout is nice as well, in between a mackie and a guiness
The best beer I have discovered, and this is in comparison to a sizable sample set, is the house beer at Red Lobster.
