Give up Custard. The nay-sayers will never accept that we were right to leave the EU and every positive upturn since the vote will burn them to the core. Many of the fools are so entrenched in their dogma that they are actually getting stiffies over any negative headlines they can find, even though what they tend to hold up as an endorsement of their illogical stance is utter bollocks.

    Brilliant retort.

Standard for the "**** it, it'll all be sound, Nige said so" brigade though.

Foxtons are not very well liked in London and they have been going down the pan a bit for some time

It made a pre-tax profit of £10.5m in the first half of the year compared with £18.1m during the same period a year earlier.

    So it was falling anyway.

Blame Brexit if all else fails

They don't blame Brexit. They blame stamp duty and the uncertainty around the referendum. They will blame Brexit for their second half earnings which will be ****ing horrendous! I have no sympathy for them. They are the worst kind of agency.

My son is an area manager for one of the big agents. He can't stand Foxtons. They're super aggressive and treat clients and staff the same way - like ****!...

A girl I knocked about with briefly works in their Camden branch (worth a look). It's a crap place to work but if you're good the money can be exceptional. Good agent to use for buying but wouldn't trust them to sell my own.

Think they mostly do lettings now.

Dirty business, & they're as greedy as any. But yeah, if you can hold your nose, some of their staff are on big money. Personally I hope everyone making bundles out of the London property market ends up in prison (not counting me when I sell my flat and move to Spain).

Holding your nose is key for most London estate agents, especially on a Friday night.

Why do people think that 5000 'new' jobs at McDonalds is good news. There will be small cafes and restaurants closing down as a result of more of rubbish food outlets. People's livelihoods lost so that the mighty burger empire can make more of our population unhealthy.
