The Guardian texting on today's game: "Mauricio Pochettino has mentioned that he’ll be buying more players, but I wonder, what does he need. Looking at Spurs, I see a good squad and a good team, but without elite quality. Where’s he getting that?" Back in North London he might just turn up last year's golden boot winner, the FA's young player of the year, and the best box to box midfielder in Europe.
A bit??? I think those guys are great but even i wouldn't go that far. I wondered if they meant Alli actually. He's the only one who _could_ become that. It's probably Winks though
It could be. Nothing to stop Alli being the young player of the year and the best b2b midfielder. I guess it depends on how well we think someone from the Guardian can write coherent sentences and use punctuation correctly. To me, at best that sentence is ambiguous and at worst it makes little or no sense at all. So in short, still not a bloody clue.
His message said "The Guardian texting on today's game:". I dunno why the Guardian are texting him though.
His Guardian has to keep a watchful eye and try to keep up with the modern times. What does his Mum think?
I see para 1 as the Guardian's texts and para 2 as RWAEB's rejection of para 1? You're both in the states these days, pop over and ask him would you?
On it. English isn't our first language over here, i could have been corrupted earlier than i thought.
From the BBC: Christian Eriksen has rejected a new contract at Tottenham but remains keen to agree a deal. The Dane has two years remaining on his current deal but theLondon Evening Standard say talks will continue between both parties. They say Eriksen wants to be moved into the bracket of top earners at White Hart Lane.
Whilst most of the salaries are obscene anyway, I would say Eriksen is a senior player now and should be paid alongside Kane etc. Who would be the top paid player - Kane?
Looking at rumours online it is Lloris - £95k. Vertonghen, it is suggested, is "only" on £40k. Eriksen is on £64k. Kane on £35k - but due to be doubled apparently.
Lloris is currently our highest-paid player on around £80k, although we're offering Kane £100k a week in his latest extension.
Why do Americans insist on immigrants speak English when they speak American (a messed up version of English!)
I dunno. They really have a big problem understanding it too, especially where i am. I can understand them perfectly, i guess we have a lot of American in our culture. But when i speak to people its like they're so shocked at what is coming out your mouth that they forget to listen or understand. I lose count on a weekly basis at how many times i have to repeat my name. My name is very common and has 1 syllable. Mind you, its nice i have to have people ask your name i guess, in England i could go weeks without telling anyone my name.
