It's rather ironic, that Mooney is apparently doing a Q&A with members of the Facebook Hull City Fans Forum, who are the people organising the anti-Allam march.

Obadiah , It's almost as though you don't know anything about the Allams and think they are reasonable people

I don't know if the're reasonable people or not. Some have nothing but good words to say about them personally, some don't.

I just want to know whether anybody is looking at the mechanics of introducing concessions into the membership scheme and whether there as been any attempt to discuss it with the club. Seems the answer to the first is no and the answer to the second is we've tried but they don't answer our questions. The obvious solution to the first is fairly straightforward, we want what we had before, the compromise position is more complicated. The answer to the second, as far as I'm concerned is, if they won't meet in private then you publicly knock loud enough for somebody to say, officially, on the record, go away.

The membership scheme is a mess. They've screwed up the North Stand signing area and there are thousands of members with a burning resentment at what has happened. Add in all the ones that have walked away and you have a very unhappy set of people. Just maybe the club is interested in having a discussion about turning that around. If they aren't then we've tried.

For those that don't know the club is having an open Q & A session with 200 Hull City supporters. Should be a lively evening.

I'm not going but I'm looking forward to hearing feedback from those that do.

I'm not sure if they are the Ulltras or not. The Facebook page seem to have a mix of every type of City supporter, from its his club he can do what he wants to lets get rid of them now. Who are we buying this week and what do you think of Bradley? And everything in between.

I would say 200 of its members could end up being a fairly accurate cross section of our support depending on the selection criteria.

One of the problems is that, unless your reply is limited to "they're ****s", some assume you must be pro_Allam.

For me, the attempts to build hatred have been counter productive. Where we are no is proof enough of that.

Offering alternative ways of thinking and approaching things just hits deaf ears, and in the words of the song(ish) the malady lingers on.

There has already been plenty of softly softly lets build bridges approach from the fans, and by and large it has all been ignored or even worse twisted around by the club / owners.

I know its easy for me to say being far away but i think the only way now is a drive them out campaign. Nothing, absolutely nothing they say now can be taken at face value. They are nothing but petty, vindictive, childish, lying ****s.

The hate campaign simply makes them dig their heels in and go further on the next step.

What would get them far more would be to remove them from the discussion. One way is to tackle what they're doing legally, or to support the PL/FL in rule changes.

Another way is to make best of the ****e they serve up, and use ridicule to make a point. One example would be for fans to announce that they refuse to speak to the club. Or, for the Q&A session, have two hundred people turn up in Steve Bruce (or anyone really) masks, and just sit silently filming for the full meeting.

Whatever they are or aren't simply hurling abuse not only doesn't work, it makes it worse and alienates people.

When they presented the membership scheme to a group of fans, they were told that fans wouldn't want to move and that removing concessions would be massively unpopular and that it wasn't necessary. I myself offered an alternative pricing model for the membership scheme, based on retaining concessions, but it was simply ignored.

There is no desire to placate the fans and get them back onside, they won't even use the club's name ffs.

I am fairly sure, hope and think that the PL/FL rules thing is ongoing through the HCST to the FSF and supporters direct. There is also the parliamentary football group thing. The loose wording has worked up to now, our owners bending / re interpreting the rules has highlighted the need for change and our trust can certainly have an important role to play in that.

Quite like the outside of the box thinking for the meeting though. Which raises just one question though, who are they meeting with.

I think the Fans Forum meeting is just their annual get together. The club I think are providing a player to answer questions, similar to the arrangement with the OSC. Facebook is wonderful at times, at others you have to walk through lots of comments to find what you really want.

The Allams are owed £80 million. How can we force them out without paying off the debt? All we can do is be nasty to them in the hope they sell at a loss. Looking at ways to get around the table with the club whilst still protesting about the use of the name and the concessions seems a far easier path.

If the club is sold after September we may well have the same type of problems with the new owners. If not we could face a long period of trench warfare to everyone's detriment.

Adam Pearson made a profit when he sold us. We had a few dizzy few years under Bartlett and have been paying the price ever since. You was at the meeting where Assem Allam spoke of leaving a legacy. Do you really think he'd want to be remembered in the same company as Adam Pearson?

As the Allams knew the Americans had no funding issues and weren't concerned about things that only happened in your head, I don''t think it was an issue. <doh>

I know, you've said the same thing loads of times. Pearson had no problem with Bartlett's funding. Pearson took the money and walked.

I know I have, but it still doesn't seem to be getting through.

Wilkinson took the money and walked, it wasn't Pearson's decision.

I've mended it. Wilkinson was satisfied Bartlett had the funding. Wilkinson took the money and walked. Do you think Assem Allam wants to be remembered in the same way as Wilkinson?
