Of course I realise there's no definitive way to prove I'm right, so after another season of midtable mediocrity, you'll still all be able to convince yourselves that you're right and that the Pearsons can do no wrong. Unless of course, the Allams do what they should have done when they took over and get rid of them both, then you'll convince yourselves you were a never a Pearson fan anyway.

I honestly wish you'd been with me on occasion in the past. I sadly think you're lost now and the only way to show you EXACTLY what James Bull5h1t is like would be to spend some time in his company when his guard is down.

I couldn't care less what he's like off the pitch, and I don't get people who do. What is this? A football club or a Scout troop?

Only if you use the wrong definition.

I get "a group of persons organized for a social, literary, athletic, political, or other purpose:", not "a group of people with no personalities, lead by two clowns, who all get along, despite underachieving".

We've got a decent squad together who have every chance of challenging at the top end of the table this season. Team spirit seems to be great between the players and a good pre season on the field has set us up well for the campaign. For people who you feel hate success, why are the majority of fans looking forward to a potentially good season? Bullard is history, deal with it. He was given a chance to ressurect his career here, pissed all over it and frankly we're best shot of him. We have players now who want to be here, a far cry from what we had 12 months ago. The club is bigger than JB, it's time you remembered that.

We do want what is best for City, by Bullard ****ing off! We're potentially in for a good season, stop throwing your toys out the pram because Bullard will probably never play for us again.

We just won all of our pre-seasons, convincingly beating one of England's top teams playing attacking football(even if it was a pre-season), yet Percy can't see any reason to be optimistic.

Don't blame him, he simply doesn't know any better.

Jimmy to be sacked by Friday(probably).

Myth. We've got an average squad, who will perform averagely. Our midfield was the biggest problem for us last season, and who have we signed/kept to improve it?

I thought that, but then I remembered I was basing it on videos put out by the club, they were hardly going to show players arguing were they?

Pre seasons mean nothing, the only result of note was against Liverpool which was fairly impressive, but I don't really think you can use wins against Ferriby, Winterton, Bradford and Chesterfield as any sort of indicator as to how the season will go.
Most people on here seem to think top half will be an achievement. It won't be.
I disagree, if it's a dispute between him and the management, we'd be better off without the management, preferably a management team who aren't best mates with Barmby.
I'd want to play for City, doesn't mean I'd be any good.

It's also bigger than the Pearsons (though admittedly, smaller than their egos). Time you and all the other "Pearson's Own Brand Kool-Aid" drinkers remembered that.

Yeah, we'll be far better off without one of the best midfielders in the league. Let's play the same midfield that got us nowhere last season! Yay!

Myth. There is absolutely nothing to suggest that.

It's more the point that the club is being held back a chairman and fans who hate success.

I look at the squad, see practically the same as I did last season, and you're right, I can't find any reason to be optimistic. I imagine it'll be as **** as it was last season, yet once again you'll convince yourself we're doing well, because you're more of a Pearson fan than you are a City fan.

If it is the case, then the club will be worse off, but it's OK, because the Pearsons and Barmby have got their man! Which is far more important than on the pitch success, right?

You're unbelievable sometimes. How you can begin to call our squad average is beyond me. It's not a team of world beaters by any means, but to call the likes of Chester, Rosenior, Fryatt, Brady, Koren, Cairney, Simpson, Brady, Evans average is frankly insulting.
It was clear from early last season that the likes of Zayatte, Gardner etc didn't want to be here, yet this year there seems a sense of togetherness, you don't need vidoes from the training ground to show you that. Everyone (with notable exceptions) seems to be 100% wanting to play here, i don't se how you can deny that.
Agreed pre season means little, but it builds confidence regardless of the opposition and builds team spirit. We can take positives from it into the new season.
Top half would be another step on the ladder, i'm feeling between 5th and 9th, have some ****ing faith in the people who are currently at the club and are responsible for acheiving such successes, be that this year or 3 years time.
The management appear to give a damn about the club and it's future, i'd say we'd be better off keeping them but each to their own.
I feel i'm wasting my breath, but your support for Bullard and petty dislike of the current management team and pessimism to the current playing staff who are better than you give credit for is becoming incredibly annoying and embarassing on your account. You're entitled to your opinion, but i can point out it's total bull**** just like you can with my opinion. Concentrate on the present and get behind the lads!

Percy you say the fans and chairmen hate success. By all accounts you should be grateful for the chairmen as if it wasnt for him we wouldnt even have a club to be debating. Last season we went from a point of liquidastion to 11th? thats one hell of an achievment. the manager is fully devoted to the club and just because he doesnt walk around in the media light and have a massive ego (like PB) he keeps everything quite until its officially released. The manager is pushing for a play off place or even automatics (although personally i feel play offs will be a realistics target). We are building the club not just for now but for the future with all the young players. Personally i feel the squad has a strong unity and thats what matters. Look at Man city they had some of the best players in the world but they werent unified to begin with that was why they struggled at the start. Unity is everything in football if you ahve one persson thats been a **** (Step foreward Jimmy) it can mess with the mentality of the players and they lose focus. so dont blame the managment. Your "hero" Mr Bullard is to blame for causing an upset in the camp.

He doesn't detest the club, he detests the people running it, and to be fair, I'm not that keen on the last two either. So no, it doesn't bother me.

So you wouldn't be happy with a midfield of Koren, Cairney, Evans/Mckenna, Brady? Plus Cameron Stewart to come back, i'd say that's an improvement on which was a poor midfield at times last year.
Some good new additions, a good team spirit, improvments with some of last seaosns players (Cairney, Koren) and a manager who now has the squad he wants with the deadwood gone. Silly me, why can't i be optomistic after all that?
Adam took us up through the leagues, if he hated success wouldn't we still be in League 2 by that theory? As for the fans, we don't expect immediate results and appreciate the current circumstances. We're in one of the most competative leagues in the world, we can't just go out expecting promotion at all costs. Grow up.
Unlike you, some of us actually see the good that is happening at the club and there's plenty of reasons to be optomistic, it's time you woke up and smelt the coffee. Like i said, put aisde your petty dislikes of the maangement team and back the club instead of living in some fantasy where all they are doing is bad!

You've taken the words out of my mouth <ok>

It says a lot that Percy buys into the Paul Duffen 'not afraid of success' philosophy. This is the Paul Duffen who now blocks Hull City fans on twitter as he doesn't like to answer their questions <whistle>
