......... which will it be, FA Cup Final excluded? For me it's Boro away ... the maddest place I've ever been and still a really edgy away day. Newcastle at SJP is just a daft laugh, where we take the mickey, compared to Boro. After that it'll be Bournemouth away when I'll be having another open day garden party. What's your 'can't miss' game?
Both Boro games for me. Im desperate to go to the away game if i can find somebody nice enough to get me a ticket .
Boro home. First home game or the season. Got to get my head right and make sure I'm there. A Boxing day home match would have been nice which is now possible since Smug hooked me up with a bus who stop in Darlo(cheers fella) But sods law, we're away. So first and last home game for me and as many in between as possible.
That would actually work better for me state my heads in, If I'm nervous I drink fast so the less before the game the better. A good day would see me right for a few jars at full time.
Just had official confirmation Bri. Me plus 1, possibly 2 or 3, up for Boro and staying overnight ............ can collect on the way up but will be staying in town after.
I'll take whatever games I can get...... realistically, trying to get Toffees at home on Monday night followed by Spurs away in the same week of mid September. **** knows after that!
time for quick morning worship, a stroll through the park, admiring the flowering Geranium and Sweet William and down to the station for a stroll on the platform to catch your fore mentioned train and meet one Brian... Sounds a hoot that like.. On the other hand you could just start Saturday lunchtime, get hammered and keep going till Sunday, lose your jacket on the train and verbally insult every ****er.. Which ever way....... ENJOY..
. Id actually started on the Friday afternoon and went through to Sunday. Im lucky my Jacket was the only thing I lost that day!
Burnley away. Live in rossendale and go every time we play them. Go with loads of mates who are burnley fans plus a few others who are neutral but support sunderland that day. Few beers before the match in a club just a few minutes from the ground where i have the piss taken out of me because of my northumbrian accent. Then after the match back to rossendale on the lash and touch wood usually celebrating. Great day out
Darlington Mate. No matter which route I take I have to change trains. I like the Boro to Sunderland line which runs along the coast. It's a nice route to take. Bet Redcar doesn't seem right without the sound of the steel works in the distance?
Until it was moved for TV, I was missing the Boro home game due to being in Scotland gigging that evening! But, as it's now Sunday 13:30 I can now go!!
Not so much the noise Bri, the lights, steam and chemical smoke was so picturesque at night against the skyline when the sun went down. That place was the lifeblood of so many families and the sad look of dejection in the faces of many fallen work-hard men is the worst things I see here now.
Tourism still dropping off too? Remember when I was a kid the place used to be bustling. As I've got older, the place has got quieter and more outdated. Bit like Sunderland's sea front to be honest.
Nothing stands out above the others for me, but I will be going to all the home games and as many away games as possible..
Palace away. Only 9 miles up the road, so if I can't see that one... Just hope we don't wear that purple and pink away number. My eyes are still hurting from the Rotherham friendly!
